There's literally almost nothing they can do about the traffic. It's like that only 1 day of the year but mitigating for such increased traffic costs a lot so it's not worth the investment for just 1 day
 
Well that was painful. Pretty much impossible to buy due to the site crashing.

Guess its 2021 until I buy any more pc hardware!
 
Why is this happening? I don't remember launches before this year crippling the wesbite so much. Just been on two competitor sites with minimal fuss - one was a bit slow but still worked and both had the 6800 series listed.
 
Meh, kept refreshing to see the products listed; checked twitter and direct links posted there. By the time I refreshed circa 50 times to get through to the site, no more stock. Also, big price difference when compared to competitors for the 6800.
