AMD 8 core RYZEN price

I don't think Intel will drop prices, not right away at least. They will likely bank on brand recognition and play themselves off as being premium. Would take a while of lost sales before they start dropping prices.

That is what I was thinking too, and even before dropping prices Intel may run some promotions i.e. free games or deals on their SSD or with certain types of motherboards.

UK retail pricing from distribution centre apparently.

wishful thinking :D no vat on them or stock.you wont be getting them prices.plus if someone brought most of the stock get ready for some gouge cake.

some interesting stuff there, specifically the clock speeds, the prices don't really tell us much, even if correct we've still got VAT and the retailers mark up to go on it. Likely an extra 40% total on there.

Would be nice if the RRP was on there

Intel will release also something

dont have anything to challenge AMD until 2019 and then AMD has already unleashed Zen+1
Intel fanatics paying a load more for the same performance will vanish fast

What are you burbling about? It's just a listing and quite clearly says no vat. If anything it just looks to confirm the Spanish prices.

Distributor pricing isn't necessarily retail pricing so I did a bit of digging and found some listings from relatively competitive stores. I expect prices will vary by around +/- 20 currency, going by prices of their other products in comparison to other sellers.

These prices are obviously quite a bit more then the distributor prices that were put up earlier but I think they are closer to what was expected.

Location

Model

Price

UK 1700 £311
UK 1700X £375
UK 1800X £480
US 1700 $316
US 1700X $381
US 1800X $490

UK-KIKATEK (Ryzen 7: 1700, 1700X & 1800X)

This could be accurate if the other thing is. personally I think it looks a little like wishful thinking.

Edit - note to mods, might be worth mixing this in with the main Zen thread as we're seeing some cross posting :)

im burbling on about that many will look at those at a glance and go oooh 8 core monster for £300

when infact those prices are nothing near the actual pricing.;)

What is the actual pricing please? :)

Is the only difference between the three 8C/16T SKUs the clock speed? If the top model is trading blows with the 6900K, think I'll just consider the lower tier 8C/16T model which can't be that slow.

We don't know yet. They appear to have different TDPs and we know they are all unlocked.

Its clear, excluding VAT is right next to the price on each sku. Just because you skimmed it and jumped into mocking and then edited your post when you realised you had misread it doesn't mean everyone else will do it. Most people will read it as a leak (which it is) and compare it up to the other 2 similar leaks we've had for a ballpark possibility (which is what people have done).

oh you've got the actual pricing? please, inform us. :)

Here is my 6950X @4.0 and single Pascal Titan @stock for comparison.

Thank you for sharing this kaap.
Because if the leaked image is correct we understand that

a) the 4ghz Ryzen is 10% slower clock for clock than the 6950X.
Even if it comes with 25% LESS physical cores and DUAL channel ram.

b) meaning with SenseMI On trashes the 6900K by a hefty margin
(all previous presentations had SenseMI off)

c) I have to preorder one asap because AMD aren't going to produce enough over the next year to cover demand.

d) Intel has nothing to go against it but the 6950X.

I wish AMD do a pull like that with Vega against the TXP and we going to have a laugh this year :D

as i just put in the other thread AOTS is a amd sponsered game.it even has AMD on their website.

take with pinch of salt.

games that matter for benchmarks are bf1 in mp 64 games. that shows proper horse power.if they show it ahead in that i will be impressed.not some amd bench tool.which no one plays.

Games are poor CPU benchmarks anyway, chances are it is not even really using those 2 extra cores.

Perhaps Kaap can disable 2 cores via the BIOS and see if it makes any significant difference.

bf1 actually scales probably the best of any recent game in mp. the thing is damn game sites always benchmark single player which is like most games literally the same across the board.
