only now seen Gibbo's post, looks like you will be sent it sometime this week.
 
Had mine delivered and despite having all other available parts, my PSU has gone wandering and hasn't been delivered. Could technically assemble everything else and have a sad little shell without any power... :(

That's awesome, thank you for this. I doubt you even have a facility to pay the difference but happy to do it if you have. That's above and beyond so it's well deserved.
 
Got my delivery email at 1:15 AM today, annoyingly i will not be home and had to reschedule for Friday.
None the less happy to have it earlier than expected.
My order confirmation came through on the 7th at 14:53 paid using klarna so initially I wasn’t expecting to get it till mid December.
Time to order rest of the bits and I will see you guys at 50 series launch.

Wise decision from AMD to release 9800X3D first, then 9950X3D later.

I wonder how many people will end up buying both, if the 9950X3D is ahead of the 9800X3D in gaming performance. It will obviously be far ahead in performance for applications/productivity, due to having double the cores.

I'm sitting tight on my 7950X3D/4090 until the 9950X3D/5090 launch in Jan. Prob better prices and mass availability by then too!

You may be right on the 9950x3d, but I suspect it will have a heftier pricetag to go with it than the 9800x3d.
The release timing worked well for me, and I'm hoping my move from the 5900X to the 9800x3d will be a noticable boost, which I also hope to compliment with a RTX 5090.

I still think many would prefer the 9800X3D due to the lower power consumption.

Personally, all I do is game and I'm sure 8 cores will be enough for the foreseeable. I guess whatever AMD will come up with next would be AM6 socket though so no direct upgrade really apart from the big brother if more cores are required.

My waiting on my 14:43 order to get my DPD email while later orders get theirs.

Hoping I will get it at some point today.
 
Got my shipping email early this morning I ordered on the 7th at 15:41. I assume they got their 800 they were expecting and are clearing through wave 3 orders now, didn't expect mine until December tbh!

Hey Gibbo,

My 9800x3d is delayed as I'm waiting for a x870e nova to come back in which is in the same order. This board seems almost as difficult to come by as a 9800x3d. Do you know when overclockers will get these in?

Thanks for all you do with forum updates.
