Thanks for the replies. I am planning on buying a 27" 144Hz 1440p IPS monitor. The gsync monitors are far to expensive so the fury + freesync option is the most affordable. Is there any coil whine on the Sapphire Fury Nitros?
Great monitor if it doesn't have to much backlight bleed mine is just about acceptable, I need to upgrade my card soon though to find the most out of it. Was hoping the RX 480 might be worth the upgrade turns out not.
Got an ETA on that Powercolor 480 Devil card? I'd honestly prefer to get a Polaris card for that HW encoding hardware, but waiting is killing productivity.

Uuuugh! The wait is terrible; that means even if they land mid next week, my pre-order with DHL Express ( provided it actually ships that week ) will still only arrive the following week. :/ That's nearly a month without a proper GPU to get anything done.

Because both NVIDIA and AMD moved to 14nm and 16nm this launch it has certainly caused un-welcomed delays.
Very true, I just wish AMD didn't bother with a reference design, and allowed AIB's get to launch their cards earlier.
I just saw the SapphireNation stream with SapphireEd and he mentioned they're only going into production now. That's a horrible delay.
Were on an upgrade cycle so demand has being higher than normal VGA launches, both NVIDIA and AMD sold out of everything they produced above their expectations.

Are you saying the RX 480 Nitro+ OC has arrived in shop?
if so where is my wallet?

As in my original reply, I was talking about Fury Nitro which is not an RX 480, its a Fury.
Neither, that's the Fury he's talking about the Fiji based card, not the 480 Nitro.
Nitro's new ETA is 5th August on the site.
Fury card is a completely different card compared to the RX 480.
Fury = Fiji chip + HBM memory
The Sapphire Fury is coming in stock today
480 = Polaris + GDDR 5
The Sapphire Nitro 480 is not in stock for at least another 1-2 weeks.

I managed to offload my R9 290 to a friend for a decent Price, so I went ahead
and pulled the trigger on a R9 Fury nitro.
I hope I won't regret it since it is the most expensive gpu I ever bought
