AMD bag BF4

I bought the Standard edition £45, Yes its high price tag but I did save money last week when I bought Bioshock for £10 :D
So I happy to just get the preorder down, tbh if I spend same amount of time as I did with BF3 its Money well spent.

Never buying another EA/origin game again. I am doubly annoyed with them today (if that is even possible) due to not being able to play BF3 again, until I have downloaded a 6GB update.

He said somebody has aspergers in response to a heated debate.

I can't disagree with moderation based on that.

Though, as mentioned earlier, it doesn't seem to be something Matt would usually say, and I would have to say frustration likely had a part to play.

The following post likely sums it up, at least based on what I would expect to have happened.

There's always two sides to a story.

I'm sure matt must have got fed up with the to and fro baiting, he tried to diffuse it but it fell on deaf ears.

It was plain reading that he had enough and ended up saying something tounge in cheek he shouldn't have, probably out of frustration more than anything else.

This place is going downhill again, most in part due to Nvidia's high pricing policy, leaving some diehards with not much option but recommend AMD, but it's obviously an issue with some now when recommending a cheaper alternative.

+1 and noted.

In any case, I think we can all see what happened and the likely causes, why not ease up on the 'flag waving' and try to keep the place a little more interesting and balanced.

I don't think anyone wants to see more suspensions.

Agree with the above I was pretty die hard nvidia after the farce my 7870 was with black screen flickering that wasn't fixed till after I got rid. Now though I don't know how anyone can recommend a 680 over a 7970 or a 670 over a 7950.

to look at it another way... if someone posts up asking about AMD cards only, no one mentions nvidia... the "nvidia force" actually try to help suggest which AMD cards they should buy

if someone posts up saying "I want to buy a 670 or a Titan" we get 5 pages of why they should buy an AMD card instead

that is what happened in the thread that saw Matt suspended; http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18499303

at the end of the day, Matt said something that was out of order and got suspended for it... the "nvidia force" as you put it are capable of having a reasoned discussion and advising people to buy AMD cards where it makes sense for them, without resorting to childish insults

even in the 7990 thread, it was matt who mentioned Titan first, and other AMD owners that responded about Titan, way before any actual nvidia owners joined the conversation

You see it, I see it. Other choose to ignore it. It seems now if you have a Nvidia card you are somehow to blame for recommending a AMD card according to certain unbiased people.

Every single thread on this section gets ruined by AMD / Nvidia ********.
7950/7970 is great 670/680 is great. Stop the retarded yabbing because its makes people not even wanting to read this section.

Some people here really need to tuck there e-peen back in once in a while as 90% don't give a .... about your opinions. Whenever i see people slacking amd drivers nowadays it's clear they just living in the past.

The graphics card forum has been the same ever since I can remember and I've been on these forums over a decade now :S

I will be buying BF4 however @ £45 - £54 it seems very expensive. my sweet spot is £30 anything more for a game i cringe at buying. :(

I agree, but will probably be able to pre-order a version cheaper than the digital dl version closer to the release date.
But then when I add my BF3 limited edition to what I then paid for the premium content I still eventually forked out a tidy packet for a pc game.
Would be interesting to see what the bonus content will be though.

Feisty? This is probably the tamest forum i've been on in years
There's far too many touchy people who get upset at the slightest sign of conflict and this place is like the telletubbies compared to most.

Its always been like that though with people who are adamant they know what they are talking about, yet don't have any qualifications in the subject, simply read online forums. Then you get the people who simply buy one brand and think the other worships satan or something...

Yeah, i have been around these forums for many years, this account is the result of me walking away from pc's for a couple of years and when i came back to them in the autumn i lost a lot of user/password info resulting in new accounts at most things.

The thing that bugs me about the graphics card forum is that you will see a few members who will openly bait others but in such a way that it's very sarcastic but in such a way that it doesn't attract attention of mods, as soon as the person being baited says anything they dont like then they go and report them to mods like kids running to tell the teacher in the playground, it's very pathetic.
