AMD Bulldozer Finally!

I think they'll all much the same? If you have some bog standard speakers like I do in the Aego M's etc. I'm sure a sound card won't give a massive benefit, but then my ears are terrible, I can't distinguish audio quality between onboard and my Xonar D2X I used to have.

I know plenty of people were claiming that no-one in the UK or Europe had any 990FX boards (or Zambezi samples) as of last week.

Well one part of that 'fact' was obviously bull****.

I don't see anyone claiming about the boards.
But BD ES samples, I'm one that believes they're nil.

i have a question guys: which mothboard manufacturer uses the best onboard sound ? & how does the sound quality compare to the likes of the creative xfi cards ?

They pretty much all use Realtek, some of the chips are higher spec than others. The on-board "X-Fi" ones are worse than Realtek imo and just a branding con.

None of them compare well to a good Asus, HT Omega or Auzentech card. I'd never buy a Creative X-Fi card because their drivers and support are the absolute pits (on all products, not just sound cards).

my pci sound card is the only creative product i have & its been working fine no problems,i may end up getting a pci-e sound card because from what i have seen most newer motherboards come with only 1 pci slot & i need 2.

if i decide to get a new card (if onboard still sucks) i will go for asus if they do a gamer edition.

Anandtech is the very same site which got Sandy Bridge months before anyone else and got Westmere-EX well before anyone else too. They seem to have a very close relationship with Intel. Perhaps they are right about Bulldozer but OTH it could be not true at all.

Personally I don't care what they show, as long as it's something!

AMD could turn up in an actual bulldozer and crush the Intel booth for all I care :D I just want to hear/see something bulldozer related :p

And how can you know Bulldozer will be out late July??? ;)

It has to be because the great Anandtech have said that Bulldozer will be slow and delayed. Perhaps,he could have used his sources to tell us of the B2 bug a few weeks early. A tad strange he did not know since his website seems to get many Intel CPUs much earlier than anyone else.

Funnily, this is the very site which won't post any Intel rumours and only releases info when Intel allows it.

I can just picture it, a massive JCB crushing the Intel booth and everyone  and AMD screaming 'you wanted Buldozer Il give you Buldozer'

would love it if that was the case. thinking maybe i should do that. instead of upgrading my computer and buy a bulldozer instead. lol

Certainly the 3dmark scores look good if you ignore that it's using the, what's very likely, far superior on-board GPU on the BD chips. PC mark though tells another story.

Edit: And if that's true, Ivybridge will be just round the corner as well.

Jokester, A-series APU's aren't BD chips yet, theyre still going off the K10(.5?) Arch.
As regards to them not being able to get the first steppings of BD to the clocks they wanted them at, surely they must have tested them? Or do they design a chip and hope it will get to a certain clock on wishes of moondust and fairy wings?
Didnt JF say that a new stepping is a very costly exercise?
