*** AMD CUSTOM 7900 XTX PRE-ORDERS GOING LIVE TOMORROW FROM 12:30 *** (PRE-ORDERS MEANS NOT IN STOCK) !!!

Seems that there potentially a major Issue with the Vapor Chambers on these cards causing the Hotspot 110C and throttling issues.

@Gibbo Might be worth while NOT selling any more MBA cards until AMD respond to the issues raised, or there could be huge RMA backlogs/Costs

To be honest we’re not interested in rumour mill or YouTubers looking for more views.

Remember people saying similar about 4090 and been a fire hazard which was a load of rubbish.

If a real issue exist then AMD will deal with it but only if their is a genuine issue.

I would normally agree but with a major caveat , we are talking about Roman “der8auer” Hartung

> He works / Has worked for Caseking.de (OCUK Owners)
> CEO / Representative for HWbot
> Studied Mechatronics
> Has Partnered with Industry Leading companies in the PC Industry (Thermal Grizzly / Lian-Li)
> Has made and successfully marketed and distributed De Lidding Tools and other products

His video goes into a lot of depth and testing scenarios, in which he proves the issue exists in the test cards he obtained. He's got under 1M Youtube subscribers so not impressive in this day so cant say he does his videos for the views.

Also AMD have openly advised customer to contact support over this issue. So they have acknowledged theres an issue in some cards and obviously need a bigger sample set to decide on "Next Steps" which can only be a RMA on Card by Card Basis, or if a major manufacturing defect in the Vapor Chamber then doing a full scale product recall as to avoid negative press especially after firing digs at NVidias 12pin power connectors

Issues now confirmed by AMD at CES2023
