**AMD Fiji Thread**

There were some fury x crossfire system power draw numbers in one of the reviews just posted 715watt so 850 will be fine but not for overclocking 2 cards which will probably defeat the object of getting 2 of this card for you. I have an 850 HX myself but my gfx won't be upgraded until 16nm refresh gen 2, I'm hoping this will be a different matter at that time.

I do hope the G1 does not become a halo GTX980TI product - I still remember all the 1GHZ GTX560TI cards years ago, which never really were available in quantity but were given as a reason not to buy an HD6950.

I still also think the standard Fury will be available in quantity and not the Fury X too.

As above, it should be compared to the G1. That's what I'm comparing it to given that I'm in the market to purchase.

That said, I'm comparing a £549 Fury X (excluding the price premium of today) to a £630 G1 so that monetary difference should equate to some sort of performance difference. Quite how much though?

If we get concrete information about overclocking potential - which we won't - that would be a big help in making a decision. I really want to end up buying a Fury X but if the performance against a G1 doesn't suit me, I have to go with the sensible option.
I seem to be in the exact same position as yourself tbh - g1 or furyX is what I've narrowed it down to - so lets see.

Yep same as both of you too...

If its within around 5% to the TX at stock I dont mind going with AMD since they need the support, having 'the best' right now seems a little pointless with 16nm on the horizon

yeah your right it makes sense to buy just one (for ultra 4k ) and then HOPEFULLY drivers will improve and then il be able to play @ 60 fps on ultra 4k.

it would be a waste of money to buy 2 and then later this card manages to game at 60 fps@ 4k ultra on a single card
