The scores are closer than what I thought they'll be. If vs a TX, they'll be trading blows.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
So you are still denying the speed bumps, whilst now trying to twist it around that I wasn't originally including the drivers.
You can show a conversation of you missing the point completely as much as you like. I'll stick with the point that greebo Is making that it appears the drivers are doing some good stuff.ok well let's show this comment up which predates our convo.
jesus wept. I'm not denying the speed bumps, I'm saying they wouldn't double tessellation performance (because 100mhz on the core has never done that). Its either the 3 series or the drivers the 3 series is being tested with on hardocp. That was my observation.

Looking at the pic it seems you could just unscrew it and flip it around?
I put it in the driver thread
I hope they do the same for CPUs with Zen and their promised 40% IPC clock for clock improvement as well.
Fury is shaping up to be fantastic! I hope their drivers, and especially crossfire ones are top-notch for the card. Same for Crossfire profiles.
No worriesRight Nutella from the other 390 thread I've been reading too
You wrote this........
You were correct to assume the increase in tesselation wasn't just clock related, I admit I was basing my foundation on clock speeds I was wrong on clock for clock tesselation results,I apologise for that.
Yes agreed. I made that statement (and the review was made) before we knew the results transferred to the 2 series with the modded drivers. As I said later in our debate this is probably the best result for "the public" (that its a driver improvement not a 3 series improvement).I do feel you were trying to fend off the rebrand by claiming Grenada is more than just clocks.
However with driver parity it seems that the only difference would then be the clock differences of greebo's findings ?
No worries

I was hopeful that the tessellation improvement was coming from elsewhere (sources which the reddit thread discuss for example) as it would have been nice to see a more substantial change in the series than the rebrand + memory boost. But at that time the performance benefits of 15.15 over 15.5 weren't clear so that result stood out, which is why I commented on it.
I think we were a both wrong and right at different points, for different reasons than we both supposed
Basically.... this is one huge distraction to bicker over for a week until the interesting bit comes out.
It's interesting how the Fury wins every test and then loses every test once both cards are overclocked.

Agreed, It'd be nice to make a 8 or more core "Zen and Fury" ITX build that whoops butt in the near future (nearish).
True, Fury will of been replaced by then so let's call it the Fury 3, Whatever it is it'll still be nice if we can make an all AMD rig that competes with the best there is at that time.Zen is slated for Oct 2016 so it'd be Greenland by then, 14nm across the board.
It's an error:
This was posted on top of the chart in red:

I'm glad I waited on the Fury now though, It sounds like it'll be a great 1440p card.
i am pretty sure the next Fury card will be rebrand of this fury with HBM2

most reviewers got samples of fury by now...no one wants to leak something ^^ ?
