AMD Loses Value Crown - Best CPUs of 2021, December Edition

Whose defending them? This is simply a reality check, do you think the Steve Walton method of influencing would have any effect on how a company price the products they sell when they sell everything they make and that being way more than their competitor?

AMD spent years selling CPU's at below their value to win back mindshare, that's a lot of humble pie, screaming at them now "eat some more" is barking up the wrong tree, what is wrong with Intel eating some humble pie?
I don't think any of these companies care what people say and there only focus is on keeping the shareholders happy AMD would charge £1000 for a 5600X if they could get away with it and Nvidia would charge the same if they could for a 3060 etc. Profits always come first.

Seeing you are a consumer crusader and self proclaimed champion of the people where would rank Intel and Nvidia as the most consumer friendly. We know the most consumer friendly company in the industry is AMD, but who would rank next?

Should be very easy to answer for anyone without a agenda. Cue Joxen minions/ sympathetic mod starting with A or S.

Be that as it may the only thing they respond to is sales volume. If i was a significant tech Youtube channel i would deliberately take the view that they do care, this includes Nvidia, otherwise what's the bloody point?

But none of these companies really care though do they, Intel give us years of the same CPUs just repackaged. Nvidia puts out a higher priced 3080ti despite millions of people sitting in queues for 6 months for the 3080 that end up never getting a card and getting cancelled. AIBs jack up the prices of Gpus and sell half of them direct to crypto miners and AMDs give us CPUs and a GPU which have lower price performance than stuff that was out 18 months prior.

If non of these companies care why attack AMD and defend Intel so virulently. And why start with the hurling insults and name calling when you agree with them. That is rhetorical.

You have flung a lot of crap so answer the question?

Did you not read my last post? I'm not defending any of them they are all as bad as each other given the chance. This thread is about AMDs value for money though.

I think saying I've been hurling insults and name calling is a bit strong as I've kept my posts clean and on topic for the most part unlike some others in this thread.

It’s not. I’ve seen your edited and moderated posts. You’re toxic.

You kick up a stink, but refuse to answer a simple question?

If I've edited it's usually to add a bit or respond to another comment without having to keep making new posts and calling me toxic just about sums your behaviour up tbh.

Your posts are rarely on topic or contain anything of substance and are mainly based on throwing around insults.

Who is the worst Intel or Nvidia?

Instead of incessantly whinging on an enthusiast forum and forcing everyone to wade through your feelings and theories, maybe write to your MP? They get paid to listen to drivel.

Is that what’s got you upset? I said a bad thing about Nvidia? Lol sad case.
This is just an example from the last page but seriously what have you contributed to the thread topic of AMDs value?

You might be as well be ask: Who is worse Stalin or Hitler? You can easily make a case for both just as you can with Intel and Nvidia.

It’s a matter of perspective. Nvidia actively develop extreme anti competition strategies. Intel are anti competitive by default because of size.

Am I being dumb because when I saw this video pop up on my YouTube feed I thought. "AMD cpus have been out a year, intel a month or two.. Of course AMD are now being surpassed?"

I don't follow the cpu market much unless I'm planning an upgrade but surely its not even worth such a heated debate when a new product comes out and its competitive / better than the product released earlier.

I think it's based more around price to performance though rather than out right performance, in 2 of the 5 catagories the winner was released even before zen 3 etc.
