Same performance as the best nVIDIA can offer at about half the price? Yes, please! :)

not a chance. why?

Navi was not priced at half Nvidia price, Navi is expensive for an AMD gpu

and secondly, AMD ceo amd cfo has said now multiple times they are done with being a budget brand

totally agree, Navi was a big disappointment to me. basically matched a 2070 a year later (which was already overpriced) with a 5% discount + numerous driver issues for the first few months
I wanted a 4870 moment

Based on the fact that PS5 can do 2.3 GHZ, what do you think would be a feasible speed for RDNA 2?

I was thinking 2.5 GHZ would be pretty feasible, for the mid-size GPUs. Maybe the bigger Die could push to 2.5GHZ with some really good cooling.

Some seriously good looking next gen PS5 exclusives here.

Sony and AMD has most definitely delivered a leap in graphics! Muck of the gameplay shown showcases breathtaking vistas that extend as far as the eye can see with incredible detail. Goodbye LOD, we won't miss you - hello full quality as far as the eye can see

This just has me more and more excited for RDNA 2 you can see just from this console alone how powerful this GPU release is going to be.

There's still going to be LOD, just it'll not be as noticeable with the upgrades to the amount of geometry in the lower res models.

I know, but the way it's managed now there is basically no visible change to the human eye - so at least to my eye it looks like the same detail level throughout due to no visible popin (even if in the background there are changes to the geometry complexity, visually I don't see the popin we see in games now)
