True, they can be very vociferous too! Unless you're running a 240hz or above monitor then the difference at 1080p is pretty meaningless in my opinion, I don't much care when the frame rate is over 100 (as long as the minimums are ok, as they always are with the 3600). My friend plays on a 60hz TV too so it'll be a long time before he's in any way limited.

Me too, I think if I was wanting every advantage playing online fps shooters it may change, however I live very rural and the latency BB speeds are going to make more of a difference than any components ever will. 60hz/fps does me fine and happy with 4k so hopefully these new gen cards can fit the bill for a few years once they go in.

If these cards do beat nvidia though, then nvidia will have a huge issue on their hands. People will cancel the 3080's in droves, and I'm guessing it will take them some months to bring out a replacement to compete
Can but hope! Frankly nVidia deserve a good kick in the balls.

Im thinking of some of the comments earlier that will not be the case at all. Dont forget, 80% mindshare resistance. ;)

I hope it is the case, but what about the Ryzen 7 5700X? With Zen2,we had complete information on the entire line-up at launch. I really hope we get some information on them next month!!

Apple is the company who really started doing this in a big way in the tech industry. Now everyone wants to copy it! :(
Yeah, Apple have a lot to answer for tbh.

And then..

Everyone will cancel 3080 orders and buy 6800xt which will then promptly make it go out of stock .

If the benchmark are to be believed, 3080 stock shortage will look like a full release in comparison.

If the options are sitting in indefinite Q or buying something that is in stock with demonstrable performance in the same ballpark its going to be mighty tempting.

Advanced counselling will be required on the nvidia subreddit to keep the wavering faithful in the Q.

They will probably do away with the 5600 non X version this time around just like they did with the 2700 non X, why would AMD release a chip that will kill the sales of their higher margin part unless the 5600X doesn't sell at all I don't expect to see a non X version anytime soon.

The 5700XT and 5700 would have been even higher had nvidia not countered with super cards that forced AMD into a last minute price cut.

And now we have the 2080ti replacement the 3090 going for £1800 so the price keeps rising and cycle repeats

They had a £180/200 6 core if they don't bring one out at around £200/220 they will lose a lot of sales, you think they going to do that, as the 3600 was one of their best selling cpu's and that was down to price per performance.

That's exactly what I'm dreading then everyone jumps on AMD "not having enough supply"... well they would have if 3000 series was good enough... hahaha... I've said from day one I'd 99% be going AMD anyway this year and knowing my luck I'll be number 3,451 in the queue on opening day rofl
