True, they can be very vociferous too! Unless you're running a 240hz or above monitor then the difference at 1080p is pretty meaningless in my opinion, I don't much care when the frame rate is over 100 (as long as the minimums are ok, as they always are with the 3600). My friend plays on a 60hz TV too so it'll be a long time before he's in any way limited.
AMD benchmark at the cpu event showed a 6000 card (we don't know which one) going to toe to toe with the 3080. That is all we have from an official stand point.are these expected to beat any of nvidia cards? so I can cancel my 3080 order

Can but hope! Frankly nVidia deserve a good kick in the balls. If these cards do beat nvidia though, then nvidia will have a huge issue on their hands. People will cancel the 3080's in droves, and I'm guessing it will take them some months to bring out a replacement to compete

Yeah, Apple have a lot to answer for tbh.I hope it is the case, but what about the Ryzen 7 5700X? With Zen2,we had complete information on the entire line-up at launch. I really hope we get some information on them next month!!
Apple is the company who really started doing this in a big way in the tech industry. Now everyone wants to copy it!![]()

"I hope AMD are strong this time so I can buy whatever Nvidia sell for less money"Makes a difference to being AMD's fault for not being competitive.
It might solve their excess demand problem, they might even be grateful? If these cards do beat nvidia though, then nvidia will have a huge issue on their hands. People will cancel the 3080's in droves, and I'm guessing it will take them some months to bring out a replacement to compete

Haha, welcome to the big leagues!best they'll get is the smug satisfaction of knowing that Team Red buyers will be getting fleeced at the same outrageous prices as they are.
They will probably do away with the 5600 non X version this time around just like they did with the 2700 non X, why would AMD release a chip that will kill the sales of their higher margin part unless the 5600X doesn't sell at all I don't expect to see a non X version anytime soon.
The 5700XT and 5700 would have been even higher had nvidia not countered with super cards that forced AMD into a last minute price cut.
And now we have the 2080ti replacement the 3090 going for £1800 so the price keeps rising and cycle repeats
That's exactly what I'm dreading then everyone jumps on AMD "not having enough supply"... well they would have if 3000 series was good enough... hahaha... I've said from day one I'd 99% be going AMD anyway this year and knowing my luck I'll be number 3,451 in the queue on opening day roflAnd then..
Everyone will cancel 3080 orders and buy 6800xt which will then promptly make it go out of stock .
If the benchmark are to be believed, 3080 stock shortage will look like a full release in comparison.
