Intel will be hiring bank robbers soon if this keeps up.

AMD's Datacenter sales to feed the AI monster will probably be massive. Desktop is less of a priority.am5 sales look dire worldwide
can we expect a price drop soon ?
It's the real reason that they've ditched anything even approaching high-end in the consumer gfx market for a few gens, they need the capacity for AI.AMD's Datacenter sales to feed the AI monster will probably be massive. Desktop is less of a priority.
Wendell seems very impressed with what Intel are doing.Don't remember who or which thread it was, might have even been this one...Ha! Someone posted Phoronix benchmarks with Intel's new 6000 series Xeon saying something along the lines of Intel was back.
I made the point that this was vs Zen 4 (###4) and they didn't beat even those, Zen 5 EPYC (###5) was just around the corner and would probably push X86 Server to another level.....
This is where the money is and what all X86 CPUs are developed for, including Intel, this +5% Zen 4 vs Zen 5 on the desktop only matters to us, its not the grand scale.
This is the grand scale...
I mean sure, Nvidia..... you may dominate the GPU space but the fastest computer on earth runs AMD GPU's, what do you think about that?Officially the fastest computer in the world. All hail El Capitan !
- The El Capitan system at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, California, USA is the new No. 1 system on the TOP500. The HPE Cray EX255a system was measured with 1.742 Exaflop/s on the HPL benchmark. El Capitan has 11,039,616 cores and is based on AMD 4th generation EPYC™ processors with 24 cores at 1.8 GHz and AMD Instinct™ MI300A accelerators. It uses the Cray Slingshot 11 network for data transfer and achieves an energy efficiency of 58.89 Gigaflops/watt.
