Put it right for youIn fairness, I really enjoyed the downgrade to the A10 7850k when it came out.
Initial faildozer chips were one of the biggest hardware disappointments though. I remember reading the Anandtech review on launch day and just losing all hope

Can Intel reclaim server market share?
Granite Rapids vs Turin
notice a single Epyc 9965 ($14,000) tying with XENON 6980 2P ($17,000 x 2) - and my goodness, less than half the powerDon't remember who or which thread is was, might have even been this one...Ha! Someone posted Phoronix benchmarks with Intel's new 6000 series Xeon saying something along the lines of Intel was back.
I made the point that this was vs Zen 4 (###4) and they didn't beat even those, Zen 5 EPYC (###5) was just around the corner and would probably push server X86 Server to another level.....
This is where the money is and what all X86 CPU are developed for, including Intel, this +5 Zen 4 vs Zen 5 on the desktop only matters to us, its not the grand scale.
This is the grand scale...

I was thinking granite rapids was getting somewhere but how Zen 5 shines. Pat must be be truely disappointed.Yeah, like i said these are on a new level.... just as Intel catches up AMD move the bar.
Sometimes when I hear people say Zen 5 is a flop (5% here or x number of frames there) I think maybe they should be more aware of the complexities and changes and for why.
I prefer this guy to steve but then i'm not a frame chaser.

Well, this threads about AMD's recovery from near bankruptcy. So gaming has little relevance here to AMD's comeback as servers are where the real money is! .People here care about games, it's a flop for gamers. There are better forums out there to discuss servers and other boring topics
