AMD Polaris architecture – GCN 4.0

So the real deal high end replacements for Fiji / 980 Ti etc aren't coming until next year?

Should we expect these cards to outperform Fury X / 980 Ti?

The first round of milking in June then :P

My Nano is gonna be the card I've had longest at this rate. That's not a bad thing (For my wallet).

Sorry, didn't quote all you said, but, Nice one. I was in the middle of typing that you had actually said June/July and he had said August/September when you replied yourself.

It's nice to see "experts" taking down a notch.

Nope, this is what I said:
AMD want Polaris laptops on the best buy shelves by mid-august at the latest, which means shipping in July, and if they want to maximize sales get things out a month earlier than that.

So we're looking at around July for them to hit the shelves?

If it's that early I'll definitely wait it out. I was looking at a 390 because like an idiot I didn't realise my 7950 doesn't support freesync on my new monitor.

I'll be so glad when these new cards come out. Stop all this childish bickering. Please go get a life....at least for the next 3 months.

I couldn't care less about arguing, but if it's as soon as June, I might put money aside again for a better 4K capable card :)

According to Charlie they're also launching Bristol Ridge with a 12% IPC boost over Carrizo at Computex.

Hype train back on the tracks for another month or so.

Good to see them making decent gains even with the last Bulldozer implementation.

At the pace Intel has been going at, AMD should definitely catch up at some point :D
