As this is the overclocking thread, I thought I'd ask here, I need some help getting my 955BE stable at 3.8GHZ please.
So far all I've touched is the cpu vcore and multiplier. So northbridge is stock and memory is running stock as well. The chip is a c3 revision, which apparently should do 3.8 fine, but I can't get it prime stable

.
1.440V, will pass Linx no problems, perfectly stable. Prime will bsod at random, normally before the hour mark. Same story all the way to 1.464, Linx will pass, prime will fail quite early. At 1.464 under load from prime it's better but still not stable, bsod at 6 hour mark. Increased to 1.476 and stable for 9 hours and was just about to stop test and as I went to it Bsod

.
Seems a bit excessive considering most are saying should do 3.8 at 1.44-6. Just looking for some advice. Should I give the cpu-nb voltage a slight raise, seen a few posts suggestion it may help, even though it's stock or do I need to put the nb to 2400 and raise voltage slightly, as again I've seen this suggested elsewhere.
Do I just have a crap chip?, wouldn't suprise me, have terrible luck.
Board is an Asus sabertooth 990fx, so plenty of options to tweak.
Thanks for the help
