Just starting to put it through its paces now :)

I wonder if LtMatt can even bare to look at that picture, what with the mismatching card types!
There's no way they'll be running at the same temperature with the same fan speed! :)

I've got buyers remorse for 2nd Tri-X. I'm not sure why I feel the need for CF with the games I currently play.

Well I haven't opened it yet so maybe I should DSR it.. Pretty much answered my own question here. I forgot it can also overclock a decent amount too which I haven't had to make use of.

Anyone here got a good .cfg setting for BF4? This is my current file for 1080p. Just copied from someone don't even know what they all are lol

The few i do know i added in red.

Just have to post in this thread that I have just switched my MSI Gaming Edition to a Powercolor PCS, my word the temperature on the PCS is stunning.

I play Planetside 2 and with the gaming edition it would hit 70c at 1000mhz, which is still very good for a 290 but the PCS is hitting 59c MAX at 1040mhz, amazing cooler!

How does one get TRiXX to remember the clock settings? I have saved a profile but it always boots up back at default which is annoying. I tried ticking and restore clocks but that doesn't work and nor does having it unticked.

Got it working, had to create a .bat file and save in startup folder. This is one thing I miss about NVIDIA, things generally just work,

Sounds like a bug in trixxx to me as i apply my clocks via afterburner at startup, or using the 2d/3d clock profiles of afterburner at startup.

Something to do with CCC starting after Trixx and wiping the OC.

Use afterburner and use the 2d/3d clock profile section. It's really handy and will switch and apply clocks whenever the card changes clock state.

I felt the same one card is more than enough for me and tbh pretty much everything at 1440p....

I felt the same. In fact it's one of the reasons I downgraded from 780 sli. I put the cash from the 780 sales to a PS4 and 290, which in turn cost me next to nothing.

Yeah the PCS cooler is a monster. My only gripe is the idle noise but that's easily changed.

Yeh it is a fair bit bigger and takes 3 slots I believe compared to the small MSI Gaming Edition.

When I first booted up the computer froze, I think it was because it was auto loading MSI Afterburner with the OC settings of the MSI 290. So uninstalled Afterburner and just let the card do it's own thing with the fan control etc and it is running amazing.

I can't hear mine at stock though, it's running at 30% fan speed on idle and sitting at 33c.
