AMD R9 290 (Non-X, Pro, etc) Owners Club

Wasn't there an updated 290 pcs bios floating around some time?

I have two. Someone here have it?

Must say, am tempted to get another 290 pcs and stick it under water - it bugs me that I have two pcs and one reference...

Not sure wether to WC my 3 290's and go x99 or shift them for the new nvidia cards :(

This may sound silly but I don't want to WC just 290's, if I'm going to do it, I want to WC top end cards and a CPU together :/

Water cooled 290 cards are very fast mate. I'm air and have Elpida so I'm held back a bit. If i was on water it would be a different story.

Well don't make your decision just yet, we don't know if the new NV cards will be any better than the Ti/Titan Black yet. :)

The real deal cards probably won't be out until new year, spring maybe.

Tbh, I don't think Hawaii offers the same kind of OC advantage as Tahiti when watercooling.
You may achieve slightly higher clocks, but I'd say that heat/noise and 24/7 clocks are the main thing to expect.

Is coil whine an issue with these cards? I have a friend who has asked a couple of times if my card had coil whine and when I say no he is surprised.

So do any of you have coil whine?
