We getting some inception type **** going on here now?

In all honesty, I've had a drink, as most know this is when my most honest and charitable self (keep an eye out for the latter ;)) comes out.

No one, ever, at all, will 100% agree with everything, if they don't agree, let it slide, they're entitled to their opinion. Don't make it personal, if that person is talking ****, ignore it, the more its quoted the longer the BS spills over.

Fun facts...

PC gaming far far far far far far far superior to console gaming.

PC gaming is accelerating at a rate console gaming could ever dream of.

We're all in the same boat, be it API differences or otherwise, we all win.

TL;DR: Get over it, we all have the same goal.

Anyone in the know care to confirm whats happening with the Radeon Rewards program?

I still haven't redeemed my code from my recent 290 purchase (bought on the 5th August) and I thought it expires tonight (31st).

With AMD adding the space bundle to the rewards program shortly, does that give me an extra 7 days to redeem the code, or is that only for cards bought after the 23rd of this month?

Only asking as I've read conflicting info regarding this.

I only got round to redeeming mine last night, but I think they put the date back to the middle of September, but cant be sure

No idea where to ask this, so here will have to do.

Just set up the 290 trifire thing again with a 2600K on an Asus Z77-V Premium which uses a PLX chip etc.

Curiously (to me anyway), GPU-Z - even in it's render test says that they're @x8/x8/x16 PCIE 3.0 despite it being a Sandybridge.

It's no biggie as they're working fine and as they should, but is there anything else I can use to get a proper reading?

Yeah mine also reads PCI 3.0 even though am also running Sandy. Thing is am not 100% sure if its true or not because we use the PLX chip itsa not using the CPU so we could be using pci 3.0

I've read that the PLX chip multiplexes (combines) the data streams but I think it still has to go through the CPU. I would like to know if the PCIE controller in Sandy is capable of 3.0 speeds, may be a way around upgrading...

Bah, I did a 3 month stretch rocking the IGP on a 2500K. Man up :p

Just a quick Q: In a couple of benches (3D Mark), I get the blackscreen when returning to 2D clocks issue after successfully completing the bench when using high clocks/+200mv.
Any tips?

Well after one to many BSOD, l have stripped the R9 290, refitted the stock cooler, check it was working fine and dandy and have now removed and boxed up till l get time to try and rememdy the BSOD. Even after two fresh installs of OS, DDU and multiple installs of 14.4/14.7 l got a little frustrated. Forgot how loud the stock cooler was lol and how hot it runs at idle. Still the best bangs for bucks l have ever spent on a GPU.

they had pcie3 z68 gen3 boards, only one slot was pcie3 though far as I remember

EDIT: seems you needed an ib cpu aswell to get pci-e3 so idk

They even had H67 boards with pcie 3.0. My older PC is running a Biostar TH67XE board along with an i7 3770k and Radeon R9 280X. Best budget motherboard I ever bought and never had a single issue with it :).

Does anyone know how to set the 2D minimum clocks in Catalyst Control Center. I've seen some old guides on the net and it doesn't seem to work for. Maybe its different for the 290 14.7 Beta drivers?
