I got an e-mail today for the PCper live pod cast. It holds no hints other than to say:

This might be the most exciting podcast that has ever been run on PC Perspective. Be prepared!

Could it be 300 series news? The timings right.

PC Perspective Podcast LIVE at 10pm ET / 7pm PT!

I can't say I've seen many of those. The original Titans were actually very good value if you held onto them.

In fact you can sell 2 original Titans now and almost have enough for an X which is nearly twice as fast.

The problem with the new Titan X is we're on the verge of new memory technology and a die shrink so they are almost guarenteed not to hold their value or performance nearly as well as the original Titan did.

yea but Nvidia made a big mistake, their card will be way too expensive when the 390X comes out and is not enough of a monster, to raise its status above the 390X ............because only an idiot will buy TX, if a card with the same power is released at 1/2 the price.....or say 60% the price..

but are that lot idiots already ?????..................i can not possibly comment ;)

Please be the R9-390X... I don't want to burn money on 2x Titan X's...

If the 390X could come out in time for GTA V on the pc that would be great. Granted that will probably end up being Christmas before GTA V finally gets released.

I had a PSU cable set on fire and basically vaporise when I plugged in the floppy power into the floppy drive one pin over by mistake.

I seriously cannot wait for this to get announced/released. I'm hoping that it destroys the Titan X in every which way. Putting AMD ahead for at least a year making Nvidia play catch up!!

Definitely getting one!! Unless it's not as quick as a Titan, then i may get one of them.. maybe.

I doubt a 390x will be as quick as a Titan, but I think it'll be in the same ballpark.

If you assume the average price of a TitanX is £900 then I'm confident that it'll be at least 30% cheaper though, probably more.

Yeah that's what i meant, not so much beat it, because i don't want to spend £900 on a GPU. But come very close..

I hate AMD for making us wait and keeping everything so quiet. I'm too impatient for that! :(

its a 4k card so it will be slightly faster than titan x at a lower pricepoint at that resolution. 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 its a toss up.

They dont have to beat the TX on performance, only have to get within spitting distance but beat it comfortably on price.

Oh!! and bring some new features to the table like Maxwell did.

This. i think it will be a bit more than slightly faster at 4K, the 290X is more often than not faster than the 980 @ 4K.
