**AMD Radeon 390X Graphics Card WCE**

which will never happen, it'll only ever go up in price...it'll never be as cheap as right now............well, not until mid next year.

You will be surprised, prices will start to fall as availability is better from April onwards. Also there are ways to get discounts etc.

I'm just waiting for the buyers remorse posts for the TX... happened before.

Ha, that's exactly why I'm not ordering until I'm happy with the price. I may never get one :p

Either better price on Titan X or 390X / 980 Ti, whichever comes first. until then this lil 960 is doing an admiral job and cost just over £100 :p

Yeah the TX will definitely drop, i'd say at least £100.

You can't beat that for a decent deal!

I want to sell my 290x to get the best price but i don't want to be back with my 7850 for the next two months!

I got an e-mail today for the PCper live pod cast. It holds no hints other than to say:

This might be the most exciting podcast that has ever been run on PC Perspective. Be prepared!

Could it be 300 series news? The timings right.

PC Perspective Podcast LIVE at 10pm ET / 7pm PT!
http://www.pcper.com/live/

Hopefully they come out and mention the R9-390Xs specs and exact release date tonight.

I'm trying to stray myself away from ordering one or two (overpriced) Titan X's without seeing something official from AMD.

I seriously cannot wait for this to get announced/released. I'm hoping that it destroys the Titan X in every which way. Putting AMD ahead for at least a year making Nvidia play catch up!!

Definitely getting one!! Unless it's not as quick as a Titan, then i may get one of them.. maybe.

I think we are all hoping AMD comes out with the better GPU than Nvidia and a better CPU than Intel.

Otherwise the market is allowed to stagnate which is anathema to we technology enthusiasts.

Why are AMD being so silent? Is the 300 series rubbish or something?

To be honest, Titan X came out of the blue within about 2 weeks. Being silent doesn't mean your product is crap, maybe they're just sticking to their release schedule as the card isn't ready yet.

Yeah, not so much CPU. I'm happy with my Intel CPU. But then again, i've only had a little play with a Phenom II i was given by one of the guys on here and i wasn't disappointed.

I think AMD know they've got something good coming out. Well i hope so anyway

they plugged the leaks they had previous years.
Lot of people who had access leaked information to early so they made sure that wouldnt happen and its been like that for years now.

The good thing they will get a lot of media coverage if it beats the titan x and be the card to own as then nvidia wont have much else to do.

:confused::confused::confused:

Incredibly weird conclusion to reach, nvidia or amd usually don't do much shouting before a product is released.

Total silence from AMD before the 290X too.

The encouraging thing there is speculation of its specifications turned out to be largely true, i think the highest anyone speculated was 2800 Shaders and a 512Bit Bus.

Many said that wasn't possible as it would be too big and suggested 2500 Shaders max.

I don't bother reading too much into leaks because on forums people seem to conveniently forget that leaks aren't 100% reliable and sooner or later the "leaked info" all of a sudden becomes "amd said this or that" down the line.

That much is true.

If this just an 290x with HBM and 4000 shaders I don't think it will get near the titan, probably beat the 980 by 20%, use a **** load more power and runner hotter than molten lava.

**IF** leaks are to be believed, it's as power hungry as a 290x, with way more shaders, which is impressive if true. Better to put the power saved into more performance right?

Titan X uses similar power to 290X and also runs hot and can get loud, but you're getting that much more performance. The same will be true for the 390X. I.e if 390X uses similar power to 290X but comes with that many shaders and HBM, with big performance jump, than what AMD have done is amazing tbh.

Of course.

From where I'm sitting it seems Nvidia are more focused on the GPU business than AMD at the moment, AMD look kind of lost and confused from the battering they are taking off Nvidia.

I disagree with that mate, AMD just don't have as much revenue and are now picking their fights more carefully. Not answering Maxwell early might have been their best option. AMD is all about GPU, not just in PC but console / elsewhere etc. They are busy working on a lot of different things right now.

Once 390/390X launches people will ease off AMD, remember AMD aren't as financially capable as Nvidia / Intel.

290/290X still represent the best overall value cards imho. Nvidia have just launched cards with performance tiers above at much higher price points and diminished value VS performance. 980/Titan X. 960/970 do represent good value cards although the 970 fiasco has soured the 970 somewhat.

Why are we all assuming that it's going to beat the new titan, The expectations from the beginning of all the rumours where never at that level. where they?

Also, Why are we expecting them to go up against the titan x ? Over a 980 I agree.

Think we are asking a bit much for AMD to go up against a £900 or so card and would be let down when it falls short of the goal post.
