AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

OcUK is AMD's no.1 UK partner on high-end graphics, so in short yes we shall be offering this special pre-order. :)

Thanks Gibbo, I realise it may not all be set in stone yet but is it going to be waiting on the card to arrive then redeem the code to get BF4 meaning BF4 could have been out for weeks before you get to play? Or does the BF4 code get sent to the people who have pre-ordered as soon as the game is available (even if the card is not).

Not sure if this pricing is accurate?

AMD will launch five chips: the $89 R7 250 (1GB of DRAM / 2,000+ scores in the 3DMark FireStrike benchmark), the $199 R7 260X (2GB / 3700+), the $199 R9 270X (2GB / 5500+), the $380 R9 280X (3GB / 6800+), and the R9 290X (4GB), which wasn’t priced. (The R9 290X reportedly contains four independent tessellation units, close to 3,000 stream processors, and a 512-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface.) An R9 290X bundle with the hit game Battlefield 4 will also be released for an undisclosed price.

If they are listing Titan at $999, which retails here for £800-£900, then we can take roughly 10%-20% off these prices for the GBP equivalent? So about £300 for the 280X, which seems to be about 5% quicker than a stock 770 if their benchmarks are to be believed.

Would need complete PCB revision but is possible by board partners. Not probable though!!

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up 8 Pack.

4GB will be enough for 1440P for a while yet surely?

As Battlefield is by far the game I play the most, I am considering grabbing a 290X for my main rig and giving my GTX 780 to my boys.

Anybody know when NDA ends so we can get proper reviews?

Not too bad, eh? The 290X will likely be out of my price range, but I'm interested to see what the 290 goes for. Wccftech have it at $449, which would make it something like £335.

I might be able to swallow that for a 290, as i'm not getting any of the next gen consoles.

It will be the most i've ever paid for a GPU though, my 6870 was £182 3 years ago and that was (nearly) top end then!
