A retailer well known for their accurate price leaks in the US,has listed the R9 290X at around $590 to $600 for the cheapest model.
That would mean around £450 with VAT.

I want a 299 dual, but it looks like there will be no dual 9 series.

With the sort of prices that are being thrown around here for the 290x, you'd probably need to take out a second mortgage for a dual GPU.

The HD 7970 was released with a RRP of $499 in the US, so what did it cost on launch in the UK?
About £500 of course! (I got mine for £430, but I was lucky).
