Yep, afraid so. It's been posted a number of times. Lets make up some new slides to keep things interesting.

Sorry tired and probably going to be an idiot here but what is the fuss? The 290X only being limited edition and the 290 for everyone who missed pre orders?

One being inferior by the above picture?

The 290x will be sold just like any other card after this preorder stuff is done and the card is actually released in the first place.

A retailer well known for their accurate price leaks in the US,has listed the R9 290X at around $590 to $600 for the cheapest model.

That would mean around £450 with VAT.

Hope this is true, could offload my 780 for around £400 and for £50 ontop what looks to be a 10% upgrade is worth it in my mind :D

Do you think so?

The HD 7970 was released with a RRP of $499 in the US, so what did it cost on launch in the UK?

About £500 of course! (I got mine for £430, but I was lucky).

Very unlikely. Although I'll be glad to be proved wrong

They have been accurate in the past with all of their price leaks, with regards to CPUs and GPUs.

The card for $590 to $600 is the cheapest R9 290X they have listed which is a Sapphire card and is probably not a BF4 special edition model.

Well that's me skint. Just pre-ordered an R290X. Now, who wants a GTX680 lol ! Anyway looking forward to seeing just how fast it is. Fingers crossed ATI's drivers are up to par ;)
