AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

From what I read TSMC wont be ready to mass produce until June '14, so yeah would look like late Summer next year at the earliest I would think.

Nothing confirmed but apparently the first round of Apple stuff appears mid March with nVidia and Qualcomm getting volume production after that - doesn't rule out nVidia getting limited production before that though.

Apple are moving to AMD for their Mac Pro, they said Dual AMD Workstation in the event earlier in the year.

22nd of this month we'll get more details.
They use NVIDIA at the moment for everything else, bar their "budget" machines.
I wonder if they're going to make a full switch to AMD for all their lines again.

Yip, £450 is what I would like the high end ceiling to sit at. Which still leaves the upper high end, things like the Titan and the Asus Mars range etc. available to those that absolutely MUST have the latest and greatest at a premium price point of upwards of £500.

what this new card?.... i expect an aftermarket MSI will cost about 450 quid, because you wont want a standard one will you, with a useless single cooling fan, you'll want a dual fan job.

i'll be after another Sapphire....or i'll wait

Apple are using TSMC for some of their chip production i.e. A8 on 20nm which supposedly the first batch of will be ready for use in retail devices by sometime in March.

ahh this is driving me crazy :D. feels like iv been stuck with my single 5870 card for far too long now since i got rid of the second because i thought these cards would be out by now. So tempted just to get a 7990 but not sure about the heat >.< but these are supposed to run how too according to the leaked temps and the whole not knowing the release date and price thing is just so annoying.

I know that, it's just odd that NVIDIA will suddenly get to use that. For all we know the production of A8's at 20nm is much easier than NIVIDIA's, and most likely is.

Although if NVIDIA do get someone out with it soon, I shan't complain. More competition.

Has been a good card tbh.

Iv had 2 5870 in crossfire since release, they have been awsome cards really. Still able to nearly max out most games this year. Gave my second one to my dad though as i thought id be getting a 290x much earlier lol

5870 was a great card at a great price. Loved both of mines, but alas the 1gb VRAM forced me to upgrade. That, and the spacing of my then PCI-E slots was poor so the top card was literally frying itself :(

I want cheapest 290x and get myself water-block asap as they hit the market :)
And that should be fast by looks of it. Cards are almost identical to 7970 so not many changes to be done by XSPC to their blocks.

Then who cares if it fries in furmark. I care that they are not voltage locked and i can OC the crap out of it :D

Not like ****ing voltage locked 780s.....
