AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

No need to sell. I can see this crashing down on all of you. It's at biblical proportions now. Jeez:rolleyes::p

I just enjoy the fun before the event, no idea what to do write about tomorow, maybe becoming drunk, sitting in a corner or waking up beside someone you never would even say hello to sober

however
I find your lack of faith for AMD

Changed your mind yet Broomstick? I thought you would have folded by now and had your card up on the MM. :p

I want to see reviews mate, leaks or AMD slides aren't gonna be enough to make an informed decision. Need to see overclocking, my 780 can do 1300mhz, if AMD's card can overclock and beat mine by a good 10% - 15% I'll grab a 290X. Otherwise just wait until the 20nm new stuff.

The 780 comes pretty conservatively clocked, maybe this could be the reverse of the '7970 VS 680' situation, where the 680 was clocked higher to look faster at stock but when the 7970 was clocked it took the lead..

Will watch, TTL's, Linus and Elric Phares reviews lol. Get a good overall idea of how 290X sizes up, Linus likes to overclock for his reviews. One of the few that does..

my mates doing a big build and waiting to see what these are like. hes a devout nvidia man so im eager to show him :p hes thinking of getting a 780gtx.

How many here are gonna grab a 290X if it's a true Titan beater, overclocking the lot?

OC ability and I still wait for october review and such.
I dont expect much tonight.
BF4, some things with crossfire, eyefinity and nice red amd slides.
Performance benches not so much

However if the 290x OC to start reaching 7990 levels and at a pricepoint thats reasonable after selling the 7970, well maybe.
depends on Bf4 beta also.

i doubt it will be a (Titan beater) if your talking about max overclock vs max ---

But it maybe very close give or take, and of course for a bucket load less money.

If you already have a Titan thats not an upgrade, but if you can sell the Titan for more than an R9 290X costs then to some that might be a good idea.

If you don't have one then there is no question of which offers the most for your £, assuming it is sub £500 and the Titan does not suddenly take a £400 nose dive, if it does then you might want to think fast about that re-sale value.

As for me, if the R9 280X turns out to be a 7970, then thats what i will get, but not right away.
