AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

[/spoiler]

Wow, that is beautiful.

Is it okay if i share some of your pictures on the AMD UK social channels? I know our followers will love your rig! :)
Well if you tell me where exactly I will hapilly do it ! :)
Also my rig changed/is gonna change a bit but these pics will still do it I guess ;)

Out of interest how is the performance of these when paired with a 290x? I am considering getting one after they will probably go down in price (or getting two 290xs) from the mm (and yes I would go custom loop ;) )

I will definitely need to get a new psu for it too :p

Performance is great and if you'd like a benchmark posted, let me know. I have a 295x2 and four 290X cards.

Haha, if only all of those worked together :p

That would be nice of you if you could matt :D

tbh the only game I have actually been worried about performance with is the witcher 2 really, as even at 1080p (it doesn't support 2560x1080 natively) I can't hit 60fps (although that is with max ubersampling etc)

kinda wish that downsampling was a bit easier with my 21:9 monitor, I do use street fighter at 3200x1800 though :D

I don't anticipate any performance problems for you in either of those titles. :)

considering the fact that I can run at that res in usf4 at something like 200fps+ average, there is no reason to worry :p

I was more worrying about witcher 2 because I definitely want to make witcher 3 look as nice as I possibly can ;)

I just played through Witcher 2 at 4K with my 295X2/4790K system and was getting a good 60 FPS with minimal setting tweaking.

I just disabled Uber Sampling and Cinematic Depth of Field (caused poor performance in cut scenes).

I've got one of these being delivered today, fancied a change from my 980, how is overclocking on these?

I've read these are binned chips, so assuming they'll overclock headroom

How are you finding it?

These cards are intriguing me. Im waiting for the new generation of cards but these can be had relatively cheap now so it will be interesting to see how they compare.

Whats your verdict?

Well coming from a single 980 which sat at 1544 on the core and 2000 on the memory, which had no issues gaming at 1440p. I'd say not worth switching!

But buying new..

I had 0 issues with the 980, it just worked, drivers just installed and done their job, it was cool, quiet and brilliant performer no matter the situation.

The 295x2 on the other hand is a ****ing beast (excuse my language) its not as cool or as quiet but is a phenomenal performer, for the extra £100 on top of what my 980 cost, I would highly recommend this. It eats everything in its path. I mean ive only had it up and running for a few hours and i havent really got as far as finding its limits, but its safe to say my initial impressions of this card have surpassed my expectations.

The card i got is for my LAN rig, im so impressed with it im tempted to grab another one or maybe the 395x2 for my main rig.

We could do with a few more 295X2 entries on the bench threads.:D:)
