RDNA3 clock speeds are way lower than expected so it's performance is also way lower

Guess we know why Nvidia really killed 12GB 4080 at $899, was never going to be a good choice vs a 7900 XT 20GB at the same price.

They are all still too expensive though, $999 is rubbish but I am sure people playing games will rush out and buy them still, whilst moaning about electricity prices in another thread, and the price of milk going up in another.

Good price to performance (subject to reviews). On the software front it seems where Nvidia leads AMD follows, a lot stuff promised for next year.

If they can produce enough they'll have no trouble selling them.

They can afford to undercut Nvidia as chiplets are probably giving AMD crazy good yields versus monolithic dies.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the release date, I'd probably be quite happy with either for what I need
