AMD RX 480 Fails PCI-E Specification

God AMD fanbois are really sad. See how they treat him when he posts pictures of his case? Not everyone can have a super fancy case, and maybe, just maybe, there's something wrong with the RX480. It could be something else causing the issue, however they'll never even entertain the fact that it could be an AMD card causing the problem. Pathetic.

No all GPU 'fanbois' are sad as this sub forum is testament to every day. Pathetic.

PCPer are a long time NVidia shill, such a NVidia biased site/channel.. And I agree 4 stories on this in 2 days is milking it in the extreme. NVidia must be worried with all the rx480's selling at the moment.

Yes that must be it, there is no chance there actually are issues with the card.

Everyone who has something bad to say is obviously an Nvidia fanboy or Nvidia employee and clearly a liar. No temperature issues, no shutdowns, no motherboards damaged.

It's all just a big conspiracy and Nvidia is clearly scared that this ultimate card will run their business into the ground. Clearly.

I doubt it, Gibbo said in the other thread that he has sold (and shipped) 350 of just one type (Zotac amp extreme) of 1070! 350 of ONE type of 1070.

The RX480 has sold well yes but then so has the 1070 and 1080 (and likely at higher mark ups/profit margins).

I think it is highly likely that Nvidia are the opposite of worried about the RX480 :p

Hmmm... Who to believe. PCPer and Toms who have done testing with specialised equipment. Or a Youtube shill who constantly makes pro AMD videos...

Anyway, an update from PCPer:

AdoredTV (aka The Scottish Guy as he's known around here) consistently produce well supported and informative posts. Just because he calls people's pet vendetta out as ill-founded and inconsistent isn't reason to dub him a "Youtube shill". Where are the baying mobs on every other card that exceeds 75W on PCI-E? and by more?
