AMD RX 580 and RX 560 leak

Very confused by the price increase of the 570/580 compared to the 470/480. It doesn't appear they actually offer that much. A few mhz on the base clock? Wow. Big deal.

If I am missing something... please let me know! :D

580 has around 90mhz increase over the 480, amd believes that is enough to de-throne the pascal titan :o

Are you serious?

In what world do you honestly think the 580 is a competitor for anything other than the 1060?

Seriously mate I've read many of your posts and they are all the same, we get it, you don't rate AMD, fine, it's all good, but do yourself a favour and stop these types of moronic posts before you get a rep as a troll.

The prices have been confirmed then? Figured they were all placeholder like the RyZen ones.

I expect the 580 to be around £250 for the lowest end and £280 for the highest one, considering Xfx Gtr 480 was like £275 for the best one i cant see the problem? As long as it's £50 cheaper than a 1070 i cant see the problem?

1500mhz out the box should be good performance, and if there's any clockroom left they should be pretty decent

1500mhz out the box? reports on the net say it cant get over 1400 on air, a bit optimistic there?

The RX480 can get over 1400mhz on air so i am pretty sure AMD boosting the stock cards clocks to 1340 then OC versions will do over 1400 easy enough. I am not going to say 1500 but pretty sure 1400 will easily be achievable.

is 580 just a clock bump or they actually made other changes to polaris? would be a bit underwhelming if its just a clock bump, unless it was 1500mhz out the box which could change the tide

I think they are just Polaris but manufactured on an improved manufacturing process which should lead to higher clocks and lower power draw. It's hard to say but with them bumping the stock cards up around 80 mhz core then you would think they have improved on what's possible with overclocking.

Nvidia are putting their old 1080 prices back up as well according to Gibbo, back to over £500 for them in a couple of weeks, wtf is going on

only reason i can think of to put the price back up is so they can put it back down when new cards are released. supermarkets do stuff like that all the time.

new process? these gone down to 10 or 12nm?

No just improved on the current one. Supposedly the RX580 does have a new chip name of Polaris 20 so there could be tweaks. A leaked bench of this chip in AOTS showed it being close to the 1070 which is weird if it's only a refreshed 480 with a measly 80mhz core bump. Everything so far points to it just being a simple rebrand with clock bump though.

Where did you read 1070 like performance?

The 580s not Vega, as Vega isn't numbered, its like the Furys, they are both called RX Vega, which was revealed by Raja, along with the t-shirt, don't know if the big one (10) will be RX Vega X, and the small (11), will be RX Vega Pro like the Furys though, we'll just have to wait and see.

The 580 is just a 480 with an extra 74MHz on the core by all accounts, and an 8-Pin instead of a 6, and a massive bump in price, as they are going up by around £100 by the looks of it.
