AMD RX 580 and RX 560 leak

Look at that clockspeed. A decent jump if true.

Weird if GPU-Z doesn't recognise a GPU then it normally can't read the clock speed correctly - also release data and GPU string don't usually generate valid data if GPU-Z hasn't been updated for that GPU.

Nvidia are putting their old 1080 prices back up as well according to Gibbo, back to over £500 for them in a couple of weeks, wtf is going on

That's probably to create rush purchasing, That or Nvidia have more info than us on Vega. With Fiji AMD got 3 cards from one chip. Imagine if small Vega got used in 2 cards (580 & 590) and big Vega got used in 3, the Vega Nano, Vega pro and Vega X.

It's annoying still knowing so little about it.

A 1070 level card from AMD is maybe what I'm looking for.... But Polaris based?
Could be Tonga based for all people would care. It just needs to deliver on price to performance.

I think the weird part about this if it is polaris based is that a current polaris chip would need more than just a 1450 core clock to match 1070 performance if we are using the rx 480 as a reference.

No way that's the real price, it'll be priced close to the current 480.

Low end Vega i can see being £300+.

With the Scorpio having a 40CU Polaris GPU, could AMD have a dedicated 40CU chip for PC, too?

Either way, raising the price by like £100 is a joke. No way that's real. Nvidia would gobble that up no problem. Slight price drop for 1070 and they're stealing AMD's lunch.

Those have to be placeholder prices, no way a clocked 480 aka 580 is going to be £330 while not delivering even close to 1070 performance.

I moved from a decently clocked 290 tri-x to a 1070 Amp Extreme and the difference is night and day.

I'd take atleast £80 of that price maybe more

IIRC 1500MHz on the 480 brings it up just behind 1070 performance but not quite catching it - der8auer managed 12.8K in Firestrike for instance while a stock 1070 is around 13-13.4K.

Who cares about an artificial benchmark?

Would it actually be close to a 1070 in *games*? I doubt it outside of heavily AMD-favored titles.

huh.. did not know that.. pretty impressive.. now i just feel a bit sad that my asus rx 480 clocks worse than a wet noodle.
