There's no internet without witch-hunt and outrage anymore, though.Good post. Zero proof of anyone blocking anything, no dev confirmation either. I wonder why? Probably because everyone knows there’s no truth to it.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

companies are not evil, they are your friend, amd doesn't block dlss, nvidia doesn't limit your vram, these companies have your best interest at heart,

Yep, that's very good point and even on gsync OLED I use that tool. Tone mapping is already very good but brightness was off.
So was iI think on this occasion he was being sarcastic
You don't know it's a waste, nor how much money it really is.My issue with it is they are wasting the money on this
Who says they're not also doing that? Besides, what if this is the best it's going to be without adding an ML model. Then it doesn't matter how much money they throw at it, they have to decide to start excluding the other vendors & their own userbase for pre-RDNA 4 (or maybe let's say RDNA 3 could still half-pass with what they already have), just like Nvidia & Intel have.when they could be spending it on improving FSR.

Just one example RDR2.TBH none of them are ever going to look fantastic. Better? I guess, but the engine has always been the limiting factor. Even when it launched it (FO4) never looked great. The time these games need to be in dev for the quests to be written and ETC? none of them will ever be a stunner when launched. Otherwise they would just fall into the "Duke Nukem Forever" loop of infinity.
It's nice seeing a game that looks amazing. Obs. But I have never ever cared about that.
I disagree, everyone being focused on their own standalone version seems like more work than everyone collaborating on a single open-source project. It just seems "implement all three of them" with extra steps.
This will be either a DX standard at some point (preferably hardware, for best results) or each does its own thing. Is not that difficult to support all of them anyway. There are no excuses not to do it other than laziness.
That will only happen as part of dx.I disagree, everyone being focused on their own standalone version seems like more work than everyone collaborating on a single open-source project.
What is nonsense? They obviously blocked it. Why else would it not be available when it takes a single modder a single day of work to release it.
They were never going to come out and say yeah we blocked it were they. Just like Nvidia never would come out and say they did the crap they did in the past to screw AMD.
