Just installed the 1104 BIOS today (which only just became available) pending my changeover to Thuban :)

Just checked and my M4A785GTD-M is 6 core ready :)

Infact that list you have has been considerably updated :)

sweet mine is ready as well, might not need a new Mobo for a 6core and 5850xfire after all :)
but it might need a BIOS update - something i have never done before

got a usb stick? stick the rom file on there and reboot either hit alt+f2 (i think) or go into bios and enter EZ flash, easy peasy, make sure your running at stock before doing it

just flashed mine :) bios 2004 using it, peace of cake, you can always download and install asus update and do it from windows too (again make sure your at stock)

These could be great for everyday people who do video editing but can't afford Intel's equivilent! Wonder if these work on AM2+, if they do, AMD are just legends!

wow that was so easy - took a min or 2 to find the drive but once i did it was done in like 1min
now ready and set for the new processors :)

now i am getting BSOD error messages, ones that i wasnt getting before
maybe something to do with a bad BIOS update, any clue how to revert back to my previous one?

EDIT : seems fixed, had to change the RAM Volt back to 1.65v

older 790fx boards will be good for these as the price will come down, and as mentioned you could potencially take a £50 board and put this 6 core in :D

would just remind people that in 1 years time when you peek across a bulldozer processor you probably wont be able to run it on current AM3 boards but the 890FX is meant to be able to run the first batch of BD processors the ones without the inbuilt GPU.

of course thats if in 1-1.5years time an overclocked thuban is bottlenecking which i very much doubt.

still its nice to have some sort of bulldozer support, usb3.0 and sata6g.. but you have to ask if you really need it ? and even if you did you could always add a card later on.

Hmm I don't think mine will be supported. Phenom II 965 is stated to work - Asus M3A32MVP Deluxe, really **** tbh though doesn't overclock very well at all.

I'm interested to see which will overclock further, the 1055T or the 1075T.

I won't be upgrading though unless they cost around £150, and will do 4.2ghz on air. Tall order so i'm not holding much hope. :P

i think we'll be seeing clock speeds in the order of 3.2-3.6 being the max overclocks. These processors are based on the same phenon II architecture and need to stay within certain thermal envelopes, so realistically i cant see them hitting 4ghz.
