*Disembarking Ryzen hype train. Boarding Vega hype train*

I'm on the APU train for 2H of 2017: 8c/16t Zen+ APU with Vega graphics, clocks above the 7700K on air, while providing 4k@60FPS vega graphics in a 15W power envelope for $100 (Zimbabwean).

Not that's what I call a hype train.

In the beginning, at 0:07 seconds, green sticker reading "POOR VOLTAGE", which has a #BETTERRED sticker covering "GE"...

They're hyping up Vega to be better than even Volta???

The best bit...

Somnum is latin for Sleep/sleepy. :D
Sleepy industries, green sticker saying Volta, unpredictable engine performance.

:p

Another poster: "quaere et invenies libertatem sonum facere" translates from latin to "Seek and you will find the freedom to make sound"

I just hope the vega hype train will not crash and derail the zen hype train:p.

Well they better deliver with Vega if they starting these sort of videos again.

Seems AMD are very confident with this type of advertising, pretty much calling Nvidia out, that is a bold move no?

Interesting, wonder what the symbology of the drums are? just about making noise? odd video but very compelling and well made.

It isn't that unusual for AMD - Hawaii (290X) and Fiji (Fury X) had quite a lot of hype upto launch as well - much of it subsequently swept under the carpet :S

Couldn't customers claim it as false advertising if it's not as good as volta now :).

To me the advertisement again shows them as the underdog, support the underdog, something they need to move away from. The little boy, not a wealthy looking boy, with his drum. And starting out the marketing by trying to damage the reputation of a competitors not yet launched product, and the "rebellion" theme. Rebel against Nvidia, buy our products.

Might be just the way I'm reading it :D

I hope they do come up with some decent goods soon tho and let the products do their own marketing :)
