Nvidia's pricing is not Nvidia's fault!? I've heard it all now. Nvidia's pricing has nothing to do with Brexit or exchange rates, which would have simply affected prices in the UK - across the board - and not just for Nvidia products, obviously. Seriously, do you think their cards are going for reasonable prices outside the UK?

I don't really care for how much they go outside of UK since I am not buying outside of UK ... and yes prices have a lot to do with Brexit. They started going up immediately after the result was official, I am not exactly sure how you can miss this completely.

Nah if i ain't happy i ain't supporting it end of story. If you buy then you are inforcing the price whether you like it or not. You then become part of the problem. If you are part of the problem then suck it up and shhh.

A man with morals. This is what i like to see. We need more of this and by that i mean a lot more lol.

Amd bringing out a great performing card at decent prices can't hurt either.

The only problem is for many that want a top end card there is only one vendor in that tier atm. Many needed a better card to do what they wanted or old card died etc and bought whats available for their purpose. Trying to suggest people that could afford a certain card are the problem when there isnt a current competitor is silly.

We all do many things in life we dont fully agree with doesnt make it wrong or those people have to shush :)

+1, all these discussions ... this isn't a top card, that card should cost this, that should be this ... omg thieves ... everyone buys what they can afford just like every other thing in life. Don't like the price, move on and don't buy, simple as that.

Excited for single card 4k potential here! Titan XP doesn't quite do it. Nearly but..............not quite it's more a 40-55fps card in most maxed out titles. HBM2 would push it into 55-60fps territory if it clocks incredibly. I'd have moved off 980ti sli if the titanXP was just 15% faster but it's not quite there I need my grunt.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Gaming Celebration Event Announced – Could The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Get A Surprise Unveiling

http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-gaming-event-gtx-1080-ti/

Same day as AMD, i wouldn't be surprised :p

Yeah. They did not want to release the 1080Ti back in January like some said they might. They want to save that to crash AMD's party. As I said before, if AMD bring it and are competative, Nvidia will release the 1080Ti which will be very similar to Titan XP and release it for say £600 and people will again lose their **** and be like "woah, Titan XP performance for half price!!!". Chaching!! :p

That'd be nice, wouldn't it? I doubt it'll be that cheap, though.

All depends on AMD really. I am sure that Nvidia have big mark-ups on their current lines, they can easily afford to slash prices and still be making a decent profit after nearly 1 year of having Pascal out :)

I still don't get how the 1080 is too expensive, when it blows the £500+ (on release) 980 Ti out of the water, and has an extra 2GB vram, and the FuryX, which went for more than some of them (as it went up to £650), and only has half its vram, yer having a giraffe.
The 1080 is significantly less costly to produce due to die size and memory bus. This is the problem that's been created. People now think specific performance has a price tag. So new cards that are faster are expected to be more expensive than the cards they're replacing. This is despite them being cheaper to manufacture. I haven't forgotten R&D either, it's just not factored because it's a somewhat static cost.

Dont understand why anyone would be interested in that event if its only a 1080 ti unveiling. We already know about the chip, a cut down titan XP, so rather dull actually. I would much rather see the vega unveil as the architecture is somewhat new even compared to polaris. I however would not be surprised that if vega is threatening enough that they are going to slide the 1080 and 1070 down a notch and place the 1080ti at around 800-850 dollar mark.

Seeing your post made look at what Fury X's were going for on the bay and I saw someone selling new ones for 634 gbp and they had already sold 4 of them!

That's crazy, No-one should even be buying new Furies now, not unless they have a massive price drop. My Fury pro was £440 when I got it, The Fury X started at just over 500 and went up to £650 (I think). That's an extra 100+ for a brand name (Asus) on an identical card.
Today new Fury X's should be under £300 and new Fury pro's under £250 for them to even be worth considering.
