We know they have A card that is smidgen faster on doom. We do not know if that is their best card do we? Also they will likely have had 5 months to work on drivers before release since we seen that footage dude.

Imaterial tbh, we know how the 480 turned out after its months of Hitman, and AOTS bench showings, and the Furys after all their months of whatever they showed, and look how the Ryzens turned out at gaming after all their cinebench showings, they can't even beat out 6yr old i5s.

LOL pls enjoy......
1700 @ 3.9ghz vs 7700K @ 5Ghz with a GTX1080 across many games at 1080p on a Gigabyte mobo
And lets re-visit it also after MS patches Windows to support properly SMT, as they have done with HT years ago.

And a small FYI. Asus & MSI have issues with their BIOS according to their announcements, while working on it.

1080Ti is the high end bar now, its all about Vega competing with 1080Ti I couldn't give a rodents exit shoot about how it compares with GTX 1080 because only a 1080Ti so far is a 4K card for gamers.

Its whats being said in the CPU section, even got a mention in here

The 3570K came out in 2012!.
So Gregster's statement , out of context and with a series of asterisks, hold much more weight than a gaming benchmark video running 2 CPUs head to head showing the true perf?

I would have stop here mate, because you make yourself looking like a fool.
Especially given that you are in the AMD Vega discussion writing drivel. I wonder, do you want me to do the same at the Nvidia threads?

No Windows driver, BIOS problems, this, that and the other, time and time again, AMD have shown they just can't do a launch, they always, always **** them up, but fear not, for their Vega is going to change all that, yeah too right it is.

Id absolutely love it if it was a 1080/Ti performer, but i just can not see it sadly :(

They'd still be buying nVidia cards - with AMD gone who'd be powering the consoles? ;) (shortly followed by needing a mortgage to afford a console).

Being as tight as they are and the cost of Nv in that scenario, maybe a cluster of arm chips???

Its whats being said in the CPU section, even gets a mention in here for not being able to beat out a 5yr old i5.

In no way whatsoever trying to kick anything off with anyone but it's not as if he ever positively critiques AMD in any meaningful way.:p

A 7700K gaming gain over my 3770K, fancy a discussion on why I haven't upgraded, doesn't say much about Intel.

For where AMD were(imo drowning) to what Ryzen can do as an all round cpu extremely well at that price-it's just flipped the cpu landscape.

Although not perfect by any means, even with it's launch problems, considering the comparative minuscule budget at their disposal, I was way more surprised it's got the performance it has tbh.:p

Can't wait to see what Vega brings myself. I find it strange people wishing it sucks etc. To me a balanced person would want it to kick ass to either get a better graphics card or better price for performance, or even why not both?

Exactly, either that or we'll be left with the norm of waiting a year after gpu launches when sales dry up to get a more realistic pricing model.

Shocker from you again! You just can't help yourself with this baiting crap can you?

This was the article I read and there is a few like it, so sorry if I wasn't massively bigging up Ryzen.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/3176...ming-pc-or-why-you-should-never-preorder.html

And here are the benchmarks

End of discussion from me on Ryzen in this thread.

Now you are a bait and troll because you post facts about AMD. You need to be blind and delusion fanboy to get respected.

That's nothing vs what doom does, but the guy still gets away with it constantly. His account is made purely to troll, bate and slate AMD...

Gregster, please spare us the crap and trolling. Few posts above I posted a video showing the 1700 against a 7700K @ 5ghz in real time game benching at 1080p.
You take as a gospel from 1 site one review, with some bar charts that could be manipulated because they are actually typed entries, about Ryzen and keep posting crap in here. Where there are dozens of other reviews contradicting what you post in here.
And also, I would like from you to post this in the CPU department, and brace yourself for the backlash. Not in an unrelated thread about Vega.
You have lost all credibility in this forum. Do something to regain it.

I see this thread is still as Toxic as ever :( the usual Nvidia users downvoting and shouting over anything postive from AMD, and the AMD crowd taking potshots at the Nvidia crowd....

Seriously, why come just to troll? is your life that meaningless that you have nothing better to do than troll an internet forum over one hardware vendor or another? none of which could give a monkeys about you other than how much of your expendable wealth they can wring out of you? seriously people, grow up and get a life.

Ha Ha Gregster finally came out of the closet. Where are your benchmarks mate? I thought you were setting yourself up as a sort of Youtube reviewer? Sorry if things changed, I don't keep tabs.

Bottom line is that for unoptimised silicon with mobo bios and windows driver as well as game code issues Ryzen is bloody impressive. You are never going to get a full story on day 1 drivers. That being said take it to the CPU forum rather than troll the GPU one.

Boomshanka,

Geck0

Be nice for AMD to drip feed at least some Vega news. With all these nvidia sales atm and people building new Ryzen rigs has to be a great time to have a good gpu on offer.

The Caps & Cream thing was a total **** take, AMD did it to trigger nVidia, and it worked. They lost a dollar per share though doing it because it pss'd a lot of people off. Good strategy though.

It's telling though that AMD can't launch a new arch with good day one drivers because they get leaked on so hard, so they delay hardware to the vendors who's employees promptly leak on it. It would seem better to make sure the vendors leak the good stuff due to having the hardware for enough time to get working product out?

Lesser of two evils yes?
