I've never seen so many Nvidia users in an AMD forum thread.
You would think if AMD was in a really bad situation profit wise, why not just use GDDR5?
anyone got an up to date summary?
Personally think the taped up Vega on show was using GDDR5/X
Personally think the taped up Vega on show was using GDDR5/X, also think they are under contract to go with HBM too.
Imagine it's still a long way off as they haven't released any cooler shots yet like they have the last few cards-I might be totally wrong on everything but there you go.
I hope the RX 5XX series it a little more than just a clock bump. More efficiency, better clocking headroom and hopefully even some more shaders would be nice.
Yeah it got a logo, and a t-shirt, which they've just released (or havn't yet).

Oh you didn't.
AMD has said they have a 4k ready card if its sub 1080Ti performance then see you in 4yrs time tbh, if they have something worth showing then show it now imho.
lol. Not much of a 4K card it being 4GB, HBM or not IMO. Need 8GB minimum in 2017 for 4K.They already have a 4k card out, the Fury.
a t-shirt
Can't remember if I mentioned it or not - but seen a couple of people who are usually right claiming the Vega demo card was GDDR5 and being used for console/mobile(laptop) product development and only about 3/4 spec.
Maybes aye, Maybes no
Yeah but 4GB HBM is like 32GB GDDR5lol. Not much of a 4K card it being 4GB, HBM or not IMO. Need 8GB minimum in 2017 for 4K.
Yeah but 4GB HBM is like 32GB GDDR5
