Sure they are, I'm just talking about it being such a small change in the mid and low level part of the 400 to 500 range, I'd of hoped for better with it maturing.

Hugely disappointing if it is true as GF has been saying they are now upto parity with Samsung's version of the process - but foundries lying about stuff like that seems almost the norm - TSMC did it for a lot of 28-20nm.

Agreed, especially if AMD would have been in a position to claw back market share without this problem which is basically beyond their control.

Four months left on the Warranty, they stated it'll be very hard to get a replacement, 8 weeks minimum; but I can get a refund likely, but at a depreciated amount. Fingers crossed.

Got a friend coming over with a spare 980Ti to plop in and see what happens.

Ryzen R5 comes out in April, I doubt Vega would be that close. May-June is more likely.

4 weeks imho is too early for Vega, you might get a Polaris refresh though. Go for the refund option if I were you...

still got my hopes up, i was told April and then in March RX 500 series appears and set to be launching April . Who knows, all dates I was even for other hardware seem to be off by a day so fingers crossed

I think again they might take same approach to RX500/Vega like they did with Ryzen boards bar Radeon Only producers, and slack off a bit thinking it wont sell as much as nvidia. hoping im all wrong though !!!

This, you get much ore rumours, hype, marketing hints in the 2 months before launch. Things are still way to quiet on vega to appear in April. As AMD official reported H1 2017 , per thread title, and that is unambiguously end of H1 in industry terms, there is absolutely no reason to believe anything before mid-May, more line early June.

I'm minded to do the same, if no real Vega news by the time the hybrid cooled 1080Ti's are out then AMD and I will part ways for a good few years.

Doubt there will be news. Also doubt Vega will be out before June. Therefore we will likely not get any worth news until May.

April a done deal for 480 refresh ? if they were building a hype train to ramp market interest in all things AMD that'd make it a good opener to release Vega about a month after or possibly 6 weeks if including NDA and all the stuff that came before ryzen

The latest AMD Crimson driver comes with something extra.

Surprise, surprise, AMD themselves confirmed Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 are based on Polaris 10. In fact, it will probably not get any more official than this before launch. The latest Crimson 17.3.2 driver lists Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 series as part of 67DFdevice tree, which as you might remember belongs to Polaris 10.

looks like watercooling, i am torn between good and bad idea, will they allow AIBs from doing custom cooling or do like FuryX and lock it down ?

I think we're all hoping for AiB ones, can't see AMD making that mistake again....

Thing is, am I patient enough to wait for them!! I don't fancy an AMD blower card, not like the last one I had at least!!!

Yeah. If I get a Vega card, it needs to be watercooled like Fury X was, but without the issues such is the whining noise.
