One can only hope that's the case. They might even get their new High Bandwidth Cache working in the game; and if we're very lucky a Vulkan build on launch day.

To appease my upgrade itch... I might just get a Ryzen based system and keep the 970 until Vega launches then see what the situation is.

My current 3570k @ 4.4Ghz is indeed bottle necking even my 970 so I need a CPU upgrade as much as anything.

Let me know if you do go ryzen as i find my 3570k never maxes out on the games i play with my 780.
Would be more interested in the minimums and if your games really do 'Seem smoother'

I will be going Ryzen in around June from my [email protected]. I can't say it bottlenecks my 390X much but I do game at 1440p.

I'll report back my findings after then. I am hoping for a decent boost overall in games but that will probably come mostly from getting a 1080/Vega with the Ryzen.

Just float this idea out there. How would Vega hopefuls react to Vega being what nvidia has done with the Titan, being its only sold with that cooler but To version were 3rd parties can sell it with their name on, but it's still based all around the stock cooler ?

Hopefully explained it OK... That white Vega, but with 3rd party brands, no fancy triple coolers...

What are people's thoughts on RX 580 pricing? I can only find one "source" mentioning pricing at all, saying the 8 GB version should be $200, which basically means it's the same as the RX 480. Just thinking whether it's worth getting a second hand RX 480 to tide me over until Vega or if it'll just instantly drop in resell value once the RX 580 comes out.
