Star Citizen will be epic in VR and we will have retinal VR inserts by that time :D
Yeah, probably. So many delays! Just hope it will be worth it in the end :)

I would rather it come out in 2020 and deliver than come out 2018/9 and fail. Happy to wait. If that game delivers what they promised it will take PC gaming to another level. It will probably result in desktop PC hardware sales getting a big boost. Kind of like when Crysis came out. That line "but can it run Crysis?" went on for like half a decade or more :D

have put my Alienware 17 R4 order on hold as Nvidia want £950 more on top than last years laptop model just for the GPU.

I have told Dell to ram it so I am stuck with my R3, quietly hoping the AMD boys and girls can come through with a 1080 level laptop part at a decent price.

In terms of thermals a 17 R4 model with Vega and HBM would be a great sell.

Just watched this:

Things are about to get VERY interesting.

EDIT: How this relates to VEGA is: the video makes an in-depth review of Tomb Raider and points out that the speed of a Ryzen-based system is greatly affected by the graphics drivers. Looking at the scaling of crossfire 480s he projects that (in this game) a Vega should beat even the 1080ti by a margin.

Not surprised since Nvidia are known to do a lot of tweaking and optimisation on the driver level, so it's likely their drivers are extremely optimised towards Intel CPUs and maybe also for AMD bulldozer which in turn hurts the performance of Ryzen. Hopefully they'll respond with what's actually causing the problem, or else Vega will have a field day with the reviewers using Ryzen CPUs to benchmark.

Also a similar story in The Division.

RX 470 vs GTX 1060 3GB

Yeah i think those videos pretty much sum up how garbage Nvidia currently is at DX12, i turned it off in The Division on my 1070. Pretty much confirms that Pascal is still not a 100% DX12 card.

Also if the Vega top tier card is faster than a 1080 and close to the 1080ti in DX11, its all over in DX12 lol.

Still think DX12 needs a massive backing from somewhere, looks like Vulkan is going to be the better API currently.
