Yeah i think those videos pretty much sum up how garbage Nvidia currently is at DX12, i turned it off in The Division on my 1070. Pretty much confirms that Pascal is still not a 100% DX12 card.

Also if the Vega top tier card is faster than a 1080 and close to the 1080ti in DX11, its all over in DX12 lol.

Still think DX12 needs a massive backing from somewhere, looks like Vulkan is going to be the better API currently.

What DX12 needs is a developer that'll create a game from scratch using it. Not a DX11 base with 12 tacked on as has been happening.

What this proves though is that performance benchmarking is now a very complex topic. There's the CPU, GPU, memory speed, driver software...

It's really funny how everyone tried how to avoid a GPU bottleneck only to run into an API bottlenech
Also a similar story in The Division.

RX 470 vs GTX 1060 3GB

NVidia have dominated the past few years due to awesome DX11 drivers. But looks like the tables may be turning.

What'd be really funny is if Vega is not nearly as impressive as the 1080ti (less RAM, fewer cores) but is able to compete due to DX12 drivers and a better-suited architecture for them...

Come Scorpio, you're going to see a LOT of this. Microsoft wants to push everyone to Windows 10 and there's no better way to do that: lots of AAA titles, written only in DX12, performing amazingly on Scorpio and also on PC.

Not April Fool's day here yet.

Is there an estimated price for Vega yet? Considering selling my 1070 as I won't be able to use my PC for 2 months as it is storage until I hopefully close on buying a house. If Vega is gonna be a reasonable price thinking I should look to sell my stuff now and by Ryzen (R5 most likely) + Vega.

That should be when things get interesting, At the moment Nvidia is the majority market share holder and they aren't in a rush to see DX12 based games. Not yet anyway.
