It isn't so much the prices which disgust me but that they've also got away with pulling all the GPUs down a tier or even more in some cases - I expected 16nm GPUs to not be cheap as its pretty costly development wise but still no reason except greed why they couldn't have produced the pathetic excuse for a Pascal Titan as the actual x80 card at around £500-600 with the rest trickling down from there.
Problem is a) they have no competition so charge what they like and b) they know people will pay for it.
Next gen is probably going to be cranked up another £50 at the low end and £100 or so at the high end, and thats life im afraid.
Its getting to the point where i look at the price of a GPU and think hmmm £600? i could buy an Xbone S, a 40" 4K TV For that...
By the time the Scorpio is out i can probably buy that and a 40" 4K TV for the same price as a mid to top tier GPU.
Its increasingly getting harder to justify having a PC nowadays.... With that said though i want a pair of Vega cards as i fancy X-Fire under DX12 and mgpu Vulkan etc, will probably never upgrade again after that as i imagine that'll last me a good 3+ years and by then Consoles will probably be the better option than a PC, wouldnt be suprised to see a Microsoft Conole running Windows 10 with KB / Mouse Support, 4K 60hz Gfx or even 120hz etc, then there no reason really to own a PC.
