AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Guys what is the story stock level for the RYZEN 9 3900X across europe. I've been keeping an eye on it on overclockers and it's still on pre-order

Is seems there's a Europe stock issue with this CPU at the moment

Response I got from customer service on Weds: "there is no ETA at the moment, no supplier has stock and we are all waiting on AMD, we have heard that once AMD have the stock to send we will have stock sent directly from them, I am afraid it is a waiting game right now"

All Ryzens are out of stock in some parts of Europe, not just the R9-3900X.

Thanks lads.

Didn't think it was this bad :/

Looks like Europe got shafted supply wise.

Yup, it's either Trump's trade war with Europe, or all the good chiplets go for a secret military/government project, or a combination of both.
It's interesting to know what the situation in South America, Africa and Australia is, though...

Never been one for benchmarking but have been playing BF5 all evening, really is an impressive chip, not had a single framedrop even with huge explosions. Everything much more responsive than the 2600 and that was impressive. I have to echo others thoughts here on how responsive Ryzens are compared to other chips I have owned, everything is snappy and you get the feel of true mutlitasking.

Only concern is the temp, so I have ordered a much better AIO as the single 120mm Rad can't hope to do a good job.

No want to overclock and get 4.2 all core 4.4 on multiple when required.

Looking forward to see how the next gen PS5 stacks up with these inside, so glad I have remained a gamer (42) as I would be missing so much had I stopped :)

Fallout 2 kinda old ;) . Did you try playing with all auto, pbo on , cause I've given up doing allcore, works better (and cooler ) on auto.

Hard to know the truth with performance. Compare Techspot to Level1tech's review to Digital Foundry and they are all different.

In short I want to upgrade the 2700x but just want to know if it's worthwhile.

If you're gaming only you won't notice any difference because of your gtx 1080 bottleneck. when i ran shadow of the tomb raider benchmark i had the same fps of 72 also same fps when playing rage 2. It was an inpulse buy for me and I only use my pc for gaming I plan to sell my 3700x and go back to my 2600 @ 4.2Gz and get a better graphics card instead.

Here's an example, In AC Odyssey with Ultra at 1400p, I get minimums of around 30fps. Will the 3700x improve that?
