If you look at CB R15 scores,the video gave a score of 4278 for 16C at 4.2GHZ - look at the scores of the 2700X:

That equates to a 14% IPC increase,for CB R15 on a clock for clock basis.

I think the post was deleted because Jim used a swear word in the vid at some point, obviously it was far too much for the sensitive souls on the mod team :)

Apparently it was a mistake and they pressed the wrong button or something and now restored it.

I didn't link to the video,just commented on the score and its relevance to CB. Profanity can be an issue on a subforum which might be frequented by all types,so I wouldn't link to such things anyway before asking if its fine!!

Lol, me being wrong. For some reason i thought you had posted the vid on the previous page and it had been deleted. Of course it was @Participant and the vid is very much still there :D
 
Also,just a word of caution that IPC increase might be only true for more FPU related benchmarks as CB is more FP biased AFAIK. More integer based benchmarks are another question.

But the problem is they have a lot of interests in China like this:

They developed a custom chip for a Chinese game console too.

This is only the start,as the law was regarding general trade between Chinese and US firms. Huawei wasn't the first,ZTE was,and I can see more and more happening if the current China-USA spat is not resolved amicably.

I don't disagree that it won't be the last. But as long as the yanks have a muppet like Trump as president it will only get worse. I have a firm belief that at some point a left wing version of Lee Harvey Oswald will be resurrected :D

If i had to guess I'd say shortly after Computex (next week?) as we already know people are testing boards and the boxes have been printed (possibly shipped to retailers).

Surely even Intel can manufacture textbooks that are immune to security flaws!
Or does it come with a lock that even a 5 year old could bypass?
They could rebrand them as being for babies and if this current trend continues expect to see many Intel users blubbing like a baby anyway. :eek:

even by your own graph what i said a year ago shows a i5 7600k is better in most games than a 2700x. which is slightly slower. thats not even showing 8700k or 9900k which are even quicker.

so the new cpus need to be atleast 15 percent up and 4.5ghz or gaming no point.

same as you interested in the amd products coming out with the purpose of buying 12core if amd can deliver on whats being hyped. hyped being the word . if they not as fast as my other intel rigs then no point. why would you upgrade a gaming rig if its slower than one you already have ? see common sense.
