AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Wait for the media reviews which I hope will back up my next few words : VRM designs are the best yet from us Z390 was the fist step in that direction and our BIOS screens have all been changed completely for the X570 and these will be rolled out for other boards as time goes on.
when are the media reviews out?

Yeah the naming scheme is dumb. There are 4 different AGESA "major" versions, the most recent of which being ComboPI. I've seen BIOSs with ComboPI 1.0.0.1, 1.0.0.2, and 1.0.0.3 so far
Thank you.
1.0.0.3 allegedly holds the overclocking ability. Any info about what motherboards (X570 or otherwise) already received 1.0.0.3 bios update?

Not sure about other manufacturers but for ASRock you can check here:

https://www.asrock.com/support/index.asp?cat=BIOS

Basically a bunch of X570 boards have 1.0.0.3 already and it looks like only 1.0.0.1 is being rolled out to other boards so far. It may take longer for the 3 and 4 series boards to get later AGESAs, which is a bit annoying. I doubt they'll just leave the higher end ones at 1.0.0.1 forever though.

So much for first day reviews comparing X570 and older chipsets. Even if some do that, there will always be question whether newer agesa would change the results. And no overclocking...

It could be INTENDED move... Reviews go out 570x is wayyy ahead..... EZ selling new stuff.....

Hope we can expect an IN HOME review with numbers and suggestions When stuff goes live Sunday ?? At least can see some good overclocking numbers :)
I don't think I will be doing this. So far I have not prepared anything past screen shots and spread sheets....

You're an active member of the forum, you know what you're doing and you do it well. Crack on, plus everybody loves a good spreadsheet! Assuming it's formatted correctly or it's just an OCD nightmare.

I posted this in the motherboard forum, another price has popped up for a board.

£647.98 for ASUS X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Formula

No chance of any £165-£220 decent motherboards then? Z390 at that price range have a few solid boards, I'd hate to see the price of decent motherboards gimp the launch of what on paper looks to be an excellent set of CPU's, fingers crossed they work well with older boards I guess.

I still have hopes for the Taichi since Asus motherboard prices are sky high.

When I was considering the 9900K, I had the Aorus Master in mind since it seems to be a top Z390 board at £250
