I'm happy with my X470 Aorus Gaming 7, i never planned to upgrade to x570 just hope Gigabyte will release the AGESA 1.0.0.3 soon. MSI released the new bios a few days ago.

Most expensive board I bought was an Asus Maximus IV Extreme P67.
That was £300 and the absolute daddy of socket 1155 boards at launch.

I hope these prices are just pre-order nonsense. It would be great though, with only 3 days to launch, if manufacturers would give some actual pricing for their products. Prices must be decided and fixed by now, we all have a budget, it would be great to know where we all stand.

thats insanity, as asus prime boards are midrange, so £322 for a midrange board.

I think I am starting to join the bandwagon of PC gaming killing itself with pricing. 2k for GPU's and £300 for mid range boards.

Paying for the ASUS name, they always over charge.

This is not a great way to gain market share! CH7 is CHEAPER than Prime X570 Pro! I will not update board unless I really have to....not at that price.

There are rumours of other chipsets coming, including the P560 - maybe we'll see some 'cheaper' boards in the future aimed between B550 and X570

PCI E Gen4 needed more stability, and the Ryzen 3000.
Boards are server grade, more layers = more expense to cope with the signal integrity for PCI E Gen4, simply that.
