AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

And this video makes it look like the all core boost of the 3800x is on average 100MHz higher than the 3700x up too 4.4GHz.

The 1% lows look much better on the 3800x tho. Up to double in what looks like to be the Division 2

So my take from that video is the 3700x and the 3800x will give you on average similar highs and average frames, but the 3800x will give you much better minimums.

interesting .. the utilization is way higher on the 3700x compared to the 3800x in division 2 ..would not expect it to be so different ..but assume that is the base clock difference and 100mhz boost on the 3800x ..but seems so different

The comments on youtube are saying it's a 3900x that the uploader just renamed as a 3800x

Which I believe, because there is no way a 100mhz higher 8 core is somehow having to work 50% less than a 100mhz slower 8 core.

There are literately scenes where the "3800x" cpu usage is like 25% while the 3700x sits at 50% - that is not possible if the fake 3800x was actually a 3800x.

Why have you ignored my post telling you how to do it via DOS, rather than mflash? Missed it? :)

As soon as i hit M-Flash, there is no option to click on the USB stick, it just reboots into Flash Mode!
This is where i can see the DIR, but no updates. I'll try the 8GB stick anyhow, and report back in a few days.

Does anyone know if the x470 pro carbon has the usb bios flashback? The b450 has but I can't see anything about the 470 on that Reddit image posted earlier. The 570 boards and fans are a little off putting, so maybe an x470 and move up to the 3800x

no the x470 carbon pro gaming does not have bios flashback on it most x470 motherboards come out before b450 so that feature was kinda rare aopart from top x470 motherboards

Something weird is happening with their results. Look at the CPU usage between the 3700X and 3800X - the former has far higher CPU usage despite being at nearly the same clock speed and having the same number of cores/threads.

Read earlier in thread, 3800x was mislabled its actually the 3900x.

Yeah looks like others have come to the same conclusion. What the videos do seem to show though is the R7 3700X running at 4.2-4.3 GHz during gaming, which indicates an all-core overclock is a complete waste of time even with these 65 W chips.

Now I'm really confused, you said you had a functioning board with a 1600X installed, correct? The USB drive is the device you will be booting from, you are not supposed to be trying mflash with the method I suggested. Just boot to the DOS prompt from USB, and follow the instructions Afudos etc.

My B350 says this

128 Mb Flash ROM, UEFI AMI BIOS, PnP, WfM2.0, SM BIOS 3.0 ACPI 6.1, Multi-language BIOS,ASUS EZ Flash 3, CrashFree BIOS 3, F11 EZ Tuning Wizard, F6 Qfan Control, F3 My Favorites, Last Modified log, F12 PrintScreen, and ASUS DRAM SPD (Serial Presence Detect) memory information

I assume most fancy mobos use way more than 32mb?

Also what's with difficulty in flashing I just downloaded the bios and went into ez flash and found the file on my HDD, are newer mobos more complex?

This 16mb ram thing is a bit worrying. I'm on an x370 board. Granted I don't use raid etc... So if they decided to start jettisoning things from the BIOS I'd probably be ok but still it's a little concerning.

That would affect x470 to tho right? It's only x570 that has the 32mb of memory.
