AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

folks with the "I must only buy the best, the best is a rip off, thus everything's a rip-off" mentality are getting old.
Willy waving boards are a thing now, either pay up to wave yours too or go with something more reasonable.

Amen to that, it's the same in the phone industry, people moan all the time saying they are a rip-off now and cost £1000!, it's like they are wearing blinkers.

I've had two new builds in my life :D 2002 and 2010. Saying that it's all very much 'Trigger's broom'

I'm sure I'll keep my Antec P180 Mini until I die, an amazing case.

I'm just about to repurpose my P180 original as I'm going custom loop. It will live on as a server case.

I think it was an athlon 64 3200 or could have been the X2 3800 around 2005 so fitting my new case is getting AMD again.

I knew 570 boards were in the £300-£400-ish for higher end ones, but £750?? that made me go wow.

That’s not really accurate though is it? Certain boards like that have always been way over the odds. The majority fall under your expectations rather than the two people are fixating on...

Am I the only person not in a rush? lol.
I can wait a few more weeks for an extra 10-20 FPS lol.

I was but not anymore as this all seems all over the place and I calmed my PC spending urges over the years
My question at the moment is since there seems to be little/no OC on these, what would I be loosing by going to a sub £200 X570 board with a 3700x paired with a vega64 for a casual gamer at 1080p not concerned with super high fps?
Other use is audio but have external interfaces for that.
I'd be tempted to go B450 or X470 but have had to deal with the hassle of new bios/old board limitations which I found very frustrating last time

I'm.... MAAAAAYBE gonna hang on for 3950X and a flagship board (at least a CH8 hero maybe) in September.
May end up being a 3800X next week if it's all confirmed the bios thing is fixed and all that TDP headroom can be PBO'd into.
It rather needs to come out clearly a nose over a 9900k for gaming once the dust settles or I'll wait for September :D

blasphemy ! :)

2hrs until mine arrives, may shut down and start the strip phase (PC THAT IS NOT ME XD) so when it does arrive it'll be straight in, plus i can get a head start on clening my rads

extreme way of avoiding any static i guess....
