AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Sorry i made it up. Just sat bored waiting for updates on the 3800x myself, though i have a gut feeling that no 3700x or 3800x will be seen today. But hope i am wrong

Does seem very quick though for gibbo to expect them to have been received Monday when they only left Netherlands on Friday!

No prob mate, it's not just what you said, but the rumours/reports coming out that only x570 has enough BIOS ROM space to support a full featured BIOS....I bought a top end mobo first time round on the promise of a drop in upgrade!

Definetly seems like there's some sort of issue with Nvidia and Ryzen again. It took them a solid month to fix the issues with second-gen Threadripper last year. Hopefully it won't take as long this time.

We ship multiple HGV UK to Netherlands each day. Pickup around lunch, overnight on the ferry delivered to warehouse next day.

Must be going through a few hubs to take that long!

I'm in the BIOS. Aorus Ultra / 3900x: BIOS Version F2, guess I update that and install windows........

Memory and NVMe seem to be recognized ok. Thought had screwed up at first as TV was slow to display output and completely silent due to no drives / fans running.

I'm in Windows on new PC

.....How do you upload images round here, still have to upload elsewhere and link?

Still loads to setup. CPU getting a bit toasty (50C), need to reapply heatsink / paste and get some fans running.

I'd say the launch was rushed to hit the 7/7 release date, given the lack of stock and BIOS issues. Marketing winning out over common sense as usual.

I never really got why they cared, its not like they will sell more CPU's because they launched it on 7/7, even if it's marketing, no one is saying anything about the date, the product sells itself although it seems like it could have been more compelling had they ironed out these issues first.
