But it is AMD fault Intel dind't offer more than 4 cores in mainstream, while charging 800$+ for 8 core cpu .
Oh that argument, yeah, AMD are a failed charity.

Which was my point that had AMD brought some competition then Intel would have had to up core counts earlier so AMD certainly played their part in the stagnation era.

It is Dave like mentality, but fortunately such are the minority.Any company would want to sit back and do nothing but rebrand old products over and over again if they could, including AMD.
But to blame AMD for Intel doing that is utterly ridiculous, that's an example of cognitive dissonance, Intel can do no wrong, so Intel's wrong doing must be the fault of AMD.
After an argument I managed to avoid escalating on Facebook recently, I'd suggest it's actually the majority. At the very least, pig-headed ignorance is rife and everywhere, combined with the self-entitled notion that social media gives you the right to post your drivel at every given opportunity. It is Dave like mentality, but fortunately such are the minority.
Not in this forum ( i think), there are couple troublemakers (3-4 of them), so when you take them out of the equation it is relative normal conversation here, nothing toxic. After an argument I managed to avoid escalating on Facebook recently, I'd suggest it's actually the majority. Yeap, only with rocket lake. Which came after amd patented the whole "more money for less cores" technology. If they keep it up with zen 4 their 6core cpu will cost 450 eurosIntel have never to my knowledge increased core for core prices by that level from one gen to the next despite having a larger lead over AMD for many years than what Zen 3 had over comet lake at the time.
Actually intels 6 cores were pretty cheap, back in 2014 a 6 core core intel cost 380 euros. What's the price of HEDT got to do with anything when more than 6 cores wasn't needed before Zen 1.

Thats exactly what i said back in 2020. A 6 core zen 3 wont cost 50% more than a zen 2 6core. But amd surprised me, increasing the 6core price by 50%,so who knows.A 6 core Zen 4 will not cost 450 Euros.
Also, are we French now? Why Euros?

5600x cost 50% more than 3600x ?Thats exactly what i said back in 2020. A 6 core zen 3 wont cost 50% more than a zen 2 6core. But amd surprised me, increasing the 6core price by 50%,so who knows.
It competed with the 3600, since there was no 5600. Names are what companies use to make you compare what they want to you to compare. Don't be a victim to marketing tricks. If their new 6 core is named 7950x and it costs 600€ will you be like "oh great, it's cheaper than the 5950x"? No, names are completely irrelevant.5600x cost 50% more than 3600x ?
Yeap, now that there is a 5600 for the same msrp as the 3600, we now know without a shadow of a doubt that AMD is stagnating way worse than Intel ever did. It took them 3 freaking years to give us a 20% mt performance increase. That's as bad, probably worse than the famous intel stagnation era. But of course, no amd fan will admit it. Nope, theyll keep banging on intels stagnation when amd the last 2 years has proven it's way worse. Such a disgusting companyAnd yet, now that there is a 5600 you have a fair and accurate comparison. Oh look, the 5600 launched at the same $199 as the 3600.
at them 3 years what was the peformance of MT from the competition ? maybe that contributed goes both ways ??Yeap, now that there is a 5600 for the same msrp as the 3600, we now know without a shadow of a doubt that AMD is stagnating way worse than Intel ever did. You mean back when intel stagnated? Almost double. 2600 to 4770k and 3770k to 6700k had a MT increase of 35 to 40% according to anandtech. AMD is stagnating If you know nowadays , there is a 44% increase between the 10400 and the 12400. Way bigger than the puny 20% amd offersat them 3 years what was the peformance of MT from the competition ? maybe that contributed goes both ways ??
