MSI and Gigabyte boards also support XMP profiles, confirmed in AMD's meet the experts live event:
Warning, it's long and a bit dull.

Something interesting and I only PC game at 4k but I was asked to do some 1080p testing AMD 7700x at 5550Mhz vs 5700Mhz but I did 5000 vs 5700 I already knew what the results would be.
AMD 7700X spanks my 12900K in this game.By a full 14FPS. Gotta be DDR4 12900K and DDR5 7700X at 1080 or just different game version maybe and I did not even dial in DDR5 ram yet but it still makes no difference as I play 4K games.

Thanks for the screenshot.I get it that shadow of the tomb raider and alike you and a few others like tweaking the ram and running lowest setting at 1080 for e-peen and I get the same FPS it is just not my thing. If you want to use the Low Preset at 1080p to compare. This is a 3090 FE so should match up.

Can you share your settings with us, or run your 7700x with one of the graphics presets so we can reproduce / validate your numbers?Something interesting and I only PC game at 4k but I was asked to do some 1080p testing AMD 7700x at 5550Mhz vs 5700Mhz but I did 5000 vs 5700 I already knew what the results would be.

Awesome your 12900K RTX 3090 is 52 FPS faster then my 12900K rtx 3090. My system is borked I guess.Nvm, just tested it, my 3090 is GPU bottlenecked at 1080p DLSS Q Ultra settings, so probably so is your card.
These are the results at max settings + DLLSS ultra performance, and it's still GPU bottlenecked!! Stock 12900k btw with XMP. So im really wondering, how the heck did you manage to score that low? Unless you changed settings between the runs, something is very fish
Nah, my 12900k is still faster than that, it's still bottlenecked by the 3090. I need to drop resolutionAwesome your 12900K RTX 3090 is 52 FPS faster then my 12900K rtx 3090. My system is borked I guess.
No more plastic straws wrapped in paper. Just paper straws wrapped in plastic. Pure awesome.

Cyberpunk seems to heavily favour Intel CPUs for some reason. However disabling SMT might help improve performance in certain scenarios @Gerard.

These benchmarks show you are GPU bottlenecked. Either drop to 720p low or get a faster GPU
I will quote myself.I also never play games at 720p/1080 with RTX 3090.I am just weird like that.Intel sucksSomething interesting and I only PC game at 4k but I was asked to do some 1080p testing AMD 7700x at 5550Mhz vs 5700Mhz but I did 5000 vs 5700 I already knew what the results would be.
He is indeed gpu bottlenecked, but fun fact is he used different settings between the 7700x and the 12900k to pretend like 12900k does worse. Who he is trying to fool, i dont know. Why he is doing it, dont know either. But amd fans... what can you doThese benchmarks show you are GPU bottlenecked. Either drop to 720p low or get a faster GPU
Does it matter when these CPUs are getting minimums of 60 or more? It's probably not the reviewer, more likely to be the game settings used.oc3d benches are all over the place, has has zen 2 and comet lake beating zen 4. Not a reliable source for benchmarks.
